Just a different (looser) converter and updated code most likely.

PP1 also offers a lot more over the base Mustang than the HP does over the base Mach 1 though...Considering that the PP1 is up to a whopping $5,195 on a 2020 GT, I'd be surprised if the HP option cost is just a mere drop in the bucket.
Holy shit, that was a $2,495 option on my '15. That's a ridiculous increase, to put it politely.
It’s an updated torque converter with revised shift calibration. But Mustang doesn’t sell enough units for its own R&D? LOL the whole Mach 1 is Mustang-specific R&D. The GT350 was Mustang-specific R&D. Anything that has to do with Getrag or Tremec manual transmissions is Mustang-specific R&D. What are you talking about? It's just the latest A10 spec Ford is putting in the 2021 F150 I'll bet. Mustang doesn't sell enough units to justify it's own R&D.
I am going to the dealer Saturday to order mine, full boat, will let you know just how steep the price gets.Base price: $51,720
700A Pack $1,595
Recaro Seats: $1,595
10 Speed Auto: $1,595
Mach 1 Elite: $1,295
Voice Navigation: $595
Appearance Pack: $995
Destination: $1,195
Total MSRP: $60,585
That's a pretty hefty price tag for a Mustang, even a little higher than I expected. This is not the Mach 1 I would build but there have been a lot of people posting that they want an automatic Mach 1. I was hoping that a loaded Tremec manual with Handling Package would be $57k but I don't see that happening after seeing these prices. The Handling Package is going to have the swing with Gurney flap and adjustable strut plates from the 2020 GT350/GT500 Base along with GT350 width rims and GT350R width/spec tires. I would guess the Handling Package is going to be $2,995-3,995. That would put this Handling Package build at $61,985-62,985.
straight out of the F150. If the project wasn't bankrolled by the F150 the Mustang will never see it.It’s an updated torque converter with revised shift calibration.
Maybe I should just go ahead and install the 2016 Base GT350 Tremec TR3160 I have sitting in the garage along with a Auto-Blip or Downshift Blip Module in my 2015. My 2015 has every option available and only about 24k miles on it right now. Even if if get $30K trade in on it a comparably equipped Mach 1 is going to be over $60k, that's a big difference.I am going to the dealer Saturday to order mine, full boat, will let you know just how steep the price gets.
True, but keep in mind, appearance package makes red calipers unavailable, and handling package makes the 10 speed auto unavailable
Really, if you’re looking for a GT350 competitor, the cloth interior with Recaros will get you there for almost $10k less after ADM (Depending on what the handling package costs, of course). That’s not an awful deal in my book... definitely not as good as I was hoping for, but still most likely going to be doable for me
I certainly hope they are the same ratios as the 2015-2020 GT350 TR3160. The TR3160 has a better set of ratios than the MT82 and MT82-D4....For those that want the Tremec, I will be curious to see what the gear ratios are in the transmission.
I like that you skip over all the things that prove you wrong in regards to Mustang R&D and instead focus on the one thing that no one can confirm nor deny LMAOstraight out of the F150. If the project wasn't bankrolled by the F150 the Mustang will never see it.
Diddling fields in a programming table doesn't count as 'R&D' and is nearly "free".
I mean after ADM. the chances of the Mach 1 having anywhere near the same ADM as the GT350 are pretty slim. We already have people getting deals at MSRP and even at (or, in some cases, below) invoice price. That was unheard of with the GT350... hell, I’ve still yet to see a single one sell for under MSRPDon't you mean before ADM? After ADM maybe a wash. Mid 60's.
Kinda wished I would have picked up that 2019 end of year sale 1LE for $38K, or the ZL1 1LE for $61k.
Now who's not paying attention. 350R new, were 7 GRAND below MSRP for at least 4 months last year. 350 have been below invoice all last year as well. Sure, there were/are dealers who never took the ADM off and sure, recently now that that GT350 is deprecated the ADMs are more common. But even the Heritage models are going for MSRP.We already have people getting deals at MSRP and even at (or, in some cases, below) invoice price. Someone who shared the gas guzzler price with me has it at $1000, not $600.Don't forget $600 gas guzzler and $1195 shipping and destination to add on.
Has it been confirmed that there is in fact a gas guzzler charge? Can anyone that has placed an order verify this? ThanksSomeone who shared the gas guzzler price with me has it at $1000, not $600.
My first want was an auto base with M1 appearance package. This is how it adds up as I understand the ordering guide.
base (600A) - $51,720
automatic (44U) - $1595
3.55 axle ratio, Torsen (455) - $795
deluxe package includes leather int (700A) - $1595
M1 appearance package, FJG & orange accents (54A) - $1000
gas guzzler - $1000
destination - $1195
TOTAL - $58,900
Alternate was a base with cloth seats, manual, Velocity Blue; total is $4985 less ($53,915). The question to myself was "is fighter jet gray worth $1595 + $1000 = $2595"? That's a lot of money (to me) for a specific color.
