My Dealer changed the oil. I think the oil from the filter must have all been caught by the belly pan and now leaks out.
Your dealer was supposed to make sure that area is clean before it vacates.

Bring it back and tell them to check and clean it.

80 mikes back to dealer. I used a spray bottle with Simple Green, I think it is clean. hard to tell with the car on a floor jack and jack stand. I will watch for drips. That belly pan holds a lot of oil and the filter drains right into it.

Thanks for the photo to help locate the door.
Is the filter still at an almost 45 degree angle making oil changes messy?
Yes, it is - like on every other GT out there. There was someone selling 3D printed plastic things that would direct oil off the filter - I bought it and it is quite effective to keep it clean.

Dealers are supposed to do lots of things they dont.
That's why you go back and tell em to fix it. They didn't do you a favor by selling a car to you.

Its faster to do it myself. Not worth my time to drive back, complain then wait for a fix. I got stuff to do.

Perfect example of why I prefer to do my own oil changes. It is not that difficult and if you take your time its not really all that messy. Dealers are in "churn and burn" mode so they really don't care about the details or the mess.

Anyone ever try the ziplock bag around the oil filter while taking it off ? I saw this and it looked like it worked nicely.

You know what else is weird from your picture is that it looks like the trap door doesn't close all the way. I looked under my car today and noticed the same thing on mine.

Yes, that is what I do and it works out very well, not much mess at all.

The more they touch your car the more chances for something unpleasant to happen.
