I have 18,875 miles on my 19 and religiously swap out the OEM pads for the Z26 pads for non track driving. I have no indication of any excessive rotor ware whatsoever from using the Z26 pads for street use. And I still attack the roundabouts…
so what you're saying is that they're fine for DD, with OEM rotors and without excessive rotor wear. Are those 18k miles done exclusively on street with the Z26s?

OK, you all know what a pain the OEM pads are for dust. After 3 years I've had enough.

Next Oil Change I need to swap my pads. What are you guys using? No track days, so looking for recommendations on good, quiet, durable pads.

I have a few ideas, but figured I'd ask the brain trust...... And of course, feel free to add your OIl Go to :sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses:
Powerstop Z26.

G-LOC GS-1 made in NC, a true performance street pad that is rotor friendly while still having a temperature range up to 800F. Although not recommended we have had Customers use them during an Auto-X. All pads dust, if they did not they would not stop your vehicle. G-LOC dust wipes off unlike the OEM Dust that cakes on the wheels.

So what pad part numbers for front and rear of a '20 EB HHP and are there options.
I like the idea of supporting made here products.

No, I do take my car to the Mid-Ohio track. Probably 15,000 miles on street with Z26 pads.
My son & I attend the Spring and Fall events at Mid-Ohio

My race pads dust so much I sometimes forget what color my wheels are 😆
They also squeal like a pig slowing for a red light. Sorry neighbors.

Doesn't get driven too often on the street though.

These are the pad that came with my car: https://www.atomic-shop.eu/pfc-1792...amg-gt-r-amg-gt-s-ford-mustang-gt-with-brembo and there was very little dust.

Expensive af if you think my mechanic then installed BENDIX SBM1792 - https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=7479456 but these dust a lot.

Okay now y’all are making me lean more towards Z26. Questions for those that use them:

Did you replace just the fronts?

Did you also replace the rotors with PowerStop rotors too? I have heard that you should always replace rotors with pads for the best performance, not sure if that’s true or not.

How easy is this to do yourself if you are somewhat handy but have never changed pads before?

I replaced front and rear. I also replaced the front rotors with the Kenny Bell 2 piece, but that is completely unecessary. It is a good idea to put fresh rotors on, especially if your current rotors have a lot of miles on them. You want clean, new surfaces to mate together. You could also take your rotors to a shop and have them resurfaced, but going with new rotors is better than machining the old ones.

It is an easy replacement with basic hand tools, however you will need a special tool for the rear to turn/compress the piston as it is integrated with the parking brake. Most people use what is called a caliper cube (Lisle Disc Brake Piston Tools 28600) which allows you to use a 3/8" drive extension and press and turn simultaneously. The better version is a caliper compression tool

Z26. Just don't be a maroon and try to use them on a track. The initial bite is less than the oe/pp1 compound from ferodo. But I prefer not getting whip lash from a light pedal.

Take a coarse brillio pad to your rotors when changing pad compound. Or like 200 grit. And wipe down with brake cleaner.

If your rotors aren't flat and groove free just buy new ones. Like oil they are consumable.

Z26, I have a love hate relationship with these. I love the lack of dust, I hate the lack of initial bite.

I'm going to try the G loc street pads next.
