Probably. Anything to get heat away from the components that are overheating.since the exhaust piping passes by the transmission, think any thermal wrapping will help?
A stock 911 will hang around all day with a 350, track pack or not.
As much as they touted this as outperforming a GT3, the corner cutting is becoming more evident each day.
To be accurate, it was the "R" they were comparing to the GT3, which does have all the cooling. Also, they never said it outperformed the GT3, but that it was within 1/100 of a second (or 1/10 or something like that). My impression was that the performance was equivalent to the GT3, not better.A stock 911 will hang around all day with a 350, track pack or not.

For most of us, we want a tech car that we can take to a track. There should be an ability to check both boxes. Maybe 2017?
That, I absolutely agree with.
Just to be clear, this is the third reported issue.I for one think this thread is a bit of an over-reaction to one reported issue.
I think it's insane that anyone would not order the race version ie. (Track Pack or R) and then get upset that their car doesn't stay cool on the track. Why the hell would anyone spend 7 grand on sofa seats and a stereo which will be well out of date in 3 years is beyond me but hey that's just my opinion. Now you're seeing why they have track ready options for these cars - maybe buyers just disregarded that as not needed. It's frickin' INSANE. All kinds of stock daily drivers can do track days with no problem. It's also a blatant misrepresentation and false advertising to the public. All FORD does is market this as a track-ready car and they don't just limit it to the Track-Pack or R.
(?).
FALSEAre you aware that track time can possible void the warranty.

Clearly you've never driven either. I own both. The GT350 is a masterpiece. The 57k price makes it a freak.A stock 911 will hang around all day with a 350, track pack or not.
