HB, I'm wondering what you decided to order. My inTech build that was scheduled for January production has been pushed back to April/ May. I've been told ATC is currently only building trailers 28ft or shorter and limiting customers to 10 option choices because of production capacity.

Another note is that prices can only be locked in within 90 days of production, because of the swings in material prices. Pretty crazy!

I'll be honest, I ended up passing on ATC/Intech. Given the prices and a change to a 32-34ft trailer, it became too inhibitive when paired with the 12+ month weight. I am going to be picking up a Haulmark Edge Pro in May when I get the new tow pig. They're heavy since they're steel, but structurally well built and the F450 won't care.

Good chance I'll end up with an Intech in the future after I have some more time in the hobby to see if I'll go stacker, gooseneck, etc.

The aluminum trailers are nice for sure. But there is nothing wrong with steel. The extra weight is a benefit when dealing with cross winds. You’ll really like the 450. My daily is a 20/550 and with 20k lbs behind it, truck is 12.5k lb, it is one stable b…… going down the road. Side note, I don’t know who is buying these at the price’s there at now. It’s really beyond the point of sanity. I sold my Atc Quest for over 30 a couple months ago. Now there mid 30’s and up. It’s nuts.

Agreed.

About this time last year, a 24ft ATC Quest CH305 was going for around 23-25k. That same trailer is selling today for 40k, and good luck getting one before the end of the 2022 track season.

Pricing before was high, but somewhat justifiable. I really like my Intech, but there's no way it's worth 40k. And mine's more on the entry-level end.........

It's bonkers. When I started this thread, my spec'd 28ft InTech iCon was $45k which about knocked me over. Same trailer is now over $50K and they won't lock the price. I understand the economics and market, I'm not blaming anyone. But it's not conducive to my logistics right now.

Agreed.

Yep. It's crazy. Used ones are that a couple years old are going for 5-10k more than they paid. It's pure insanity. If I was SUPER confident in what I ultimately would use it for and could wait the 12 months, I'd still seriously consider it. But not right now.

If I had a trailer I would love to have this system. No money for a trailer, no place to put a trailer. Just one more thing to fantasize about.

I bought mine last Jan for 24k. Atc 24 quest 305. There beautiful trailers, gut not worth 40k.

Glad I bought my used one last year. 28 Foot 4 years old and 12K. It works just fine. Would I like something nicer? Sure. Do I need something nicer? Not at all.

I did not go with a ATC or Intech, I went with a less expensive but still attractive option with the plan to finish it myself. I wanted a 28' with a bed, shower, sink, in floor winch, coin floor, either metal or vinyl ceiling, and walls, but could not find what I was looking for and was shocked at what they were charging. I ended up with this unit from Cargo Mate.

it has ceiling in it and prepped for AC, but the wall and floor are plywood.

The plan is to put a twin bed across the front, with a sink and shower on the wall in the front 8' of the trailer. I will post up progress as it happens.

Well, I'm back. Actually just submitted an order for a 50ft livings quarter trailer with 28ft garage from SMS Trailers. Some changes to future house plans will keep the RV a few years out, so we're headed with a gooseneck that I can sleep in at the race track. Seriously considered a built out Intech, but between cost and wait, it's a bit of out scope. Plus, the wife unit wasn't super interested in sleeping in the same "room" as the race car. Can't really argue with that.

I'll share more once I get the engineering schematics and of course I'll share details once delivered.

Looking like about 120 day lead time. Getting pretty excited - now just need a truck. Ha.
