LCA Bearings in bad weather?

Anyone here have the lca bearings installed? Steeda or BMR. I plan on doing these and the frpp toe to knuckle bearing. The fact that the LCAs are a spherical metal bearing (unlike the frpp delrin knuckle bearing) concerns me when it comes to the elements and road salt. Just curious how they hold up. Also, is the NVH bad? I expect some added NVH for the LCA bearing. Thanks in advance.

The Steeda trailing arm spherical bearings are nickel plated with no NVH increase. Will be fine in the Norhtern elements in the winter months.

Steeda installed with zero NVH increase. Live in New England but don't drive in snow so cant help you there

Thanks guys. Yea Im more concerned with salt/snow than anything. I guess a delrin option wasnt strong enough since no one makes it.

I have cortex LCA bearings on the front and rear control arms. I bought these seal-it boots last winter. I can't remember what size I bought. Measure the arm width where the bearing goes in. Go slightly smaller when you order. These fking things go on like a bitch. If I remember right I bought part # RERS3. Summit and jegs sell them. Also.

We have not seen any issues thus far with our LCA Bearings in any weather conditions.

We use the largest bearing in the industry on this component - which leads to a longer lasting and quieter bearing.

NVH increase with our LCA bearings is practically zero.

Three questions:

1. What driving characteristics, exactly, do they alter?
2. Is the 'bearing' replaceable without repressing the sleeve?
3. How can a spherical bearing in this location be close to/zero NVH? I want to believe this but find it hard to. Surely something is different over some surfaces, no?

WRONG : Nvh is zero with Bmr lca bearings

Without a boot the bearing will wear out faster, no matter how big it is. A larger bearing allows for more load rating. Road debri will take its toll on any exposed bearing.
