I got the 3.55s installed with my procharger and other goodies last summer. Absolutely love it. Especially with lighter driveshaft and flywheel. 3.73s would be better, but a lot more expensive if you're coming from 3.15s since you need the whole diff.
I used the Mcleod lightened steel flywheel which is for the GT. And yes, the r&d was for a spacer. Mcleod recommends using their flywheel and I'm completely fine with that. I wouldnt use anything RAM anymore. Just me. But their clutch did not work properly. I got my money back. They were great...

Yes. Definitely. With the lighter flywheel and driveshaft the rpms definitely move faster. The clutch is night and day over the Ram I got rid of. Pedal feel is light, very similar to stock overall, just stronger of course. I have the stainless clutch line so the engagement spot changed.
