Unless I'm just crazy, it seems to be mentioned in the new 2015 Mustang Owner's Manual posted today. So, I do believe we'll be getting the keypad.

Please read all the posts after your last post. There is good reason to believe it is referring to adding it as an accessory, like the one posted earlier in this thread.

As of right now from ford service via twitter.

Ford Service @FordService @**********Totally understand! Looks as though SecuriCode will not be available. However the Enhanced Safety Package includes ...

Not looking promising but this isn't a definitive answer. It is the most likely answer however. So unless we get surprised when it hits dealerships we shouldn't expect this feature.

That would be too bad if true. The intelligent access is a great step forward but in those times where you leave your keys behind for whatever reason or need to grab something quick you'll have to go get your fob first.

I thought it was a useless feature on my F150 until I found myself using it all the time. I don't mind getting an aftermarket keypad per say, but there isn't really an obvious place to me to put it where it wouldn't be very ugly.

Earlier someone posted one attached between the wiper blades and the rear of the hood. I thought that was an awesome place to put it where it is VERY discrete, if you want it.

You know I saw that picture but couldn't figure out where exactly that was. Thanks for pointing that out! That could be a very reasonable location and solution.

Yah well the last 10 years of one being in 2 different cars and one without a gas cap and I'm still here giving bad advice.

Kinda debunks your theory
Living dangerously!!! ;)

Base jumping, swimming with sharks, keypad on the gas door. :D

Originally I thought it was a good idea. But I'll give you one word. Ice. Leave it out in an ice storm or even a moderate snow and it will be unusable in that position. It would probably work well in fair climates though.

Lol! But seriously it's not much different than standing at or near the gas filler and pushing the remote fob button. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure there is no danger at all or I've just been EXTREMELY lucky lol.

you people actually leave your keys in the car when you're not with it? seems extremely stupid to me.
You forget not all of us choose to live in high crime areas. Where I live there is no need to even lock the car. Most people here just leave their keys in their unlocked cars....

While I see the conveniece of the keyless entry, I think Intelligent Access is good enough for me. Dont get me wrong, I love the feature on our Explorer and its very well hidden, BUT being that I am getting a convertible , I would HATE to have that FUGLY pad on my driver's side door.

If you are the first person on the block in Sequim WA with your new 2015 Mustang GT, and you leave the keys in the car unlocked, you may be getting back in line and ordering a second mustang

In many parts of the country (and world) locks serve to keep help honest people honest. I suspect no mater where you live, once your new mustang is sitting in the driveway there will be plenty of people who might want to take it for a spin :bolt:

Yeah, I'm an upstanding, law-abiding citizen, but If I were 16 years old and saw a new Mustang with the keys sitting in it... I'd be sorely tempted to take it around the block and hope I could get it back before the owner noticed.

I also have to think that the insurance company would think really hard about denying the claim as well.
