......I voted for Trump mostly because he was an outsider. I didn't think he would be nearly as great in office as he has shown to be. Such a hard worker and he is doing things to help the American people rather than just working to line his own pockets like most politicians do. No wonder there is such a huge effort by the corrupt main stream to destroy him. They realize he can't be bought, so it's their only path to continued power. They are deathly afraid that the voting public will see through their BS and elect more people like Trump.

I don't think the 40% of people you are talking about are Trump voters, so I don't think that really makes your point. Can you try again to come up with something that will hit home insulting Trump voters?
Sure.

Where do you think most of those 40% of Americans without $400 in savings live? They don't live in NYC, LA or Boston. They live in Smalltown, USA. I reckon like you, most Trump voters picked him because he was an outsider. When you put two unelectable losers on the ticket, one will win. That's what you now have as a President....an unelectable loser.

You remember that before the election he said he'd be working so hard he'd have no time for golf? Well (as of 29th Sept) he's spent 158 days on the golf course since he became president. That's exactly 25% of his presidency. He watches TV more than you do, tweets seven times a day every day and he's flown off to forty rallies since the election. He's not a hard worker, mate, he's a hard shirker. Wake up.

You have more money in your wallet because he's spent up huuuge on Uncle Sam's credit card for your tax cuts. All good now, but that will come back hard and bite you on the ass.

I think most of the 40% probably live in big cities. Small town people tend to have more of what I call common sense.

I don't remember him saying that, but I think it's good he gets some breaks. He has accomplished a ton since he's been in office, and the record low unemployment and record high stock market show that he's on the right track.

You have more money in your wallet because he's spent up huuuge on Uncle Sam's credit card for your tax cuts. All good now, but that will come back hard and bite you on the ass.
There have been quite a number of big tax cuts in the past, and every time so far government tax revenues have increased due to the multiplying effect of a robust economy.

And I believe I actually fall into a group of people that may be paying more in income taxes this year. That doesn't really bother me. The main thing I think will help the US the most is that the big corporations are paying less in taxes. They employ a lot of people, and the extra money for business will make a huge difference in the years to come.

You keep going through life delusional and ignorant. Unfortunately, idiots like yourselves only realize the problem when they get close to the violence and see how their gun does nothing. Until then you’re just part of the problem.
Im always amazed that after making a statement without any name calling that the response turns to hateful comments. The thought that eliminating guns from society would have any effect on criminals still not robbing and killing people is the definition of being delusional and ignorant, again take the time to read what has happened in a country that has gone down that path. Criminals wont turn their weapons in so when they break into your home to rob and kill you what are you going to do? Same scenario at my house with guns in it chances of surviving the attack go way up. So your tombstone can read, here lies a delusional, ignorant, idiot who thought getting rid of guns would change the world. While at my house there wont be any tombstone but a sign hanging outside, here lives an delusional, ignorant, idiot that is heavily armed enter at your own risk. Ill take my view over yours any day. Im not part of the problem criminals will never change and dumbass mass killings wont go away as others have pointed out ie. Bombs, driving vehicles through crowds etc. Part of the problem now days is people cant sit down and have a civil discussion to try and resolve any issues just like in this post one side usually drags the conversation into the mud and nothing becomes of it except a bunch of name calling and unsubstantiated facts being thrown around. Then both sides dig in and your at a stand off, which this post has become, then it becomes a waste of time and effort. And in the future please try to explain your side of the conflict in a constructive more grown up manner.

Building off a point made about criminals here; is it unreasonable to assume that many do not trust law enforcement to protect them (reason for buying a gun)? If that's true then is it also unreasonable to assume that many feel threatened by law enforcement, especially given the police brutality we've observed?

That's what Kaepernick's peaceful is about; raising awareness for police brutality! He's not disrespecting the military; heck it's about the same thing - keeping our citizens safe. The military is for safety against foreign powers, but who's supposed to be protecting us within our borders - law enforcement? This is what happens when people don't trust them.

The players have said again and again this is about raising awareness for the issues with police brutality. Politicians are twisting this to say it's anti-patriotic. Protecting our citizens is patriotism. Kaepernick's stance is against the brutality and needless killing; he's a true patriot in my book.

Nomadic is a troll... you can ignore him/her.

It seems she/he had an unfortunate gun related issue in the past and vows to troll all gun owners.

Law enforcement doesn't protect people from crime or criminals. Law enforcement follows up after a crime has already been committed. Your statement about people not trusting law enforcement is completely off the mark.

I trust law enforcement, but I also know that they can't do anything to prevent someone from shooting, robbing, car jacking, etc. So if I decide to carry a gun, it's to protect myself from a criminal.

I would absolutely love to have my own personal law enforcement officer to follow me around and protect me, but it isn't very practical - don't you think? The only people who should feel threatened by LEOs are the crooks. Those who feel threatened by LEOs should probably examine (and change) their behavior. In other words, obey the law.

In your last post you were hopelessly lost, with this post you fell off the planet.

Law enforcement are there to ENFORCE THE LAW. If they do their job well, they DO protect people from crime and criminals. They travel in bright shiny patrol cars so the public can see them and either feel safe or be deterred from carrying out an illegal act. Traffic cops enforce the law. Highway Patrol, enforce the law. Patrol cars, enforce the law. The cops standing in front of Trump tower, enforce the law.

If you decide to carry a gun, it's because you are a scared rabbit. Carrying a gun doesn't protect you from a criminal, it just increases the likelihood that you'll be shot and killed. Ask Philando Castile https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Philando_Castile

Oh you can't, he's dead....and you're as white as the driven snow, so you don't need to worry too much about a cop killing you.

That's very kind of you....southern hospitality at it's finest.

All I know about Oklahoma I learnt from Merle Haggard. He didn't paint a nice picture of the place.

It's Kavanaugh....with a KKK.

Since i got a nest cam setup, we have had 6 different instances of thievery between my 2 neighbors and I. My camera also sees their residence. No one has attempted to come in to any of our houses, yet. But less than a mile down the road one unlucky fella did break into a home...and got his ass shot...because that “scared rabbit” had a gun. It was awesome.

Of the 6 instances of going through our vehicles and looking for valuables, none of them have stayed on the property longer than 1 minute...1 freaking minute. Please tell me what good it is to call the cops, when their average response time here is 3 minutes(pretty good if ya ask me).

So in your world you are saying that the cops are prescient and show up before the criminal? Sounds like a bad Tom Cruise movie.

Think about it. The police can't do anything until after a crime has been committed.

Castile could have done a lot of things differently and he wouldn't have been shot. For instance, when a cop says to do something, you might consider listening and obeying. Getting surly and refusing to do what a cop says is very foolish unless your entire goal is to get shot. I'm not going to be a punk to the cops, so I know I am very unlikely to be shot by them. The last thing a police officer wants to do is to shoot someone. It's really hard for me to believe you really think that cops want to have that on their conscience. Could you imagine being at work dealing with some jerk that has a gun, won't listen to you and you think he is going to shoot you? Tough job. The toughest.

Castile was 32 years old and had been pulled over by police 52(!!!!) times for traffic violations. I'm sure he was a real treat to deal with and his companion was nothing but honest.

The only question I have is how did such a model citizen get/keep a permit to carry in the first place?
