Had the foam pad swapped last monday as there was a big dint in it. One week and a day later it's exactly the same? I'm 16stone 5 not massively heavy and these are built for Americans ! What's going on? Anyone else have the same issues? Wondering about having them done privately or swapping to a bucket seat. Ideas?!

The seats in my 11 car were not my favorite and wore in horribly. I've been in a few S550's without Recaros to conclude not much has changed. At least not for my body type.

You know, I mis-remembered a stone as being equal to 20 pounds and I was going to take exception to your "not massively heavy" comment.

Not sure what you're trying to get at with saying these are built for Americans, but your ass isn't exactly light. If 16 stone converts over to around 224 pounds, I could see how you might put a dent in the seat. If it isn't you, do you have a jailer's key set on your hip that's poking the seat?

What's your expectation? That the seat will stay new looking forever?

Plus, it's winter time right now, so any "dent" stays awhile. Summer sun and heat tends to make them go away.

Hey all,

Love the comments on here :) I'm about 230lbs in american! My expectation of the Seats is just comparing it to cars I've had before. I had a 350z with full leather interior and at 10 years old the seats held up much better than what they look like now after a week! Also had a focus st3 full leather RECAROS, they looked mint even after 40k. I was hitting the gym more often and was closer to 240 when I had those cars. No jailers keys or anything in my pockets! Just seems the seats dint super easy and for a car that has 11k on it and a freshly rebuilt seat it seems to be poor.

No offence meant by the built for Americans comment, my family is American and the people just seem bigger than us Brits

I like the premium seats. I'm 6'2" and 300#. If I could get paid by the hour or mile to drive my Stang I'd be rich. My .02

Oh I dont disagree the interior really is a nice place to be, I just which the seats were a touch more robust!

Something is amiss. The seats in my '18 Premium aren't dented or stretched in the least, and the driver is 250 lbs. The Katzkins in my coupe (I'm 204 lbs) aren't stretching or denting either. Are you ever putting your knees in your seats when you have to reach in, or work on something? I know it "shouldn't" happen, but it's understandable that the pressure from putting 200lbs on 4 square inches of leather covering foam is going to alter it. If it's just your ass, then I'm at a loss on what's happening.

Never kneel on the seat, nothing apart from me is in the car. Only thing that's been done this week is new brake lines and the brakes were bled.
