I agree with you. This shouldn't have happened. At least after the first repair. Maybe something in the seat caused it or the replacement foam was defective. Have the dealer do it again.

The heated seats barely get warm after the repair so it will have to go back in. I'm waiting to hear if there are two different part numbers for the foam pad, one with ventilation in it to allow hot or cold air to pass through.

Yup, the passenger seat in my 15 EB looked like that. Fairly common issue back then. It wasn't the pad it was the leather cover. It needed to be stretched.

The part nimber that e-cat (ford parts catalogue) has give us is 2183726.

This ssems to be the on ly option, but I have emailed Ford technical at Daventry to see if this correct or is there a superseeded number.

When I have a reply, I will let you know what they have said.

Maybe this will help. The one with heat says cloth but I do not think cloth seats came with heat.

Mine does that to a degree. I just live with it. I often wonder what it could be like if I were to recover in heavier thicker leather
but keeping the original design, style and stitching...just made with higher quality materials.

Thank you everyone for the help here. Spoken with Ford and he believes there is a separate element that goes under the foam. Hes ordered one and I'll book me back in and have a go and getting the seats better. Appreciate the part numbers I sent those to him as well. My seat looks to have healed a little bit over night too.

Haha, no offense taken man. I'd say the average American is MUCH bigger than the average Brit. But if we continue to expand our fast food restaurants over your way, things might change. Ha!

The leather seats in these cars are crappy quality leather and they don't hold up as well as more luxurious cars. My '14 seats seem to be showing a lot more wear than the '16 seats I had. I do believe Ford took the leather a notch up between the S197 generation and the S550 generation. Probably because the S550 went global and the S197 did not.

I'm pushing 200 lb and I love the seats in my base model. Last summer I put Wet Okole seat covers on, just for style and maybe keep the original cloth in better shape.

This was taken the day I put them on, since then they've broken in better and the wrinkles are gone.
