One thing I didn't see anyone mention is this will be "turned on" all the time. If you only use Sport and/or track mode for the increased throttle response, now you don't have to flip the toggles every time you start the car. That's one of the main reasons I'm considering getting one.

correct! This is the main reason I got it. Now I don't hate driving my car in normal mode, now I actually enjoy it and can reserve the increased track mode for the track.

I am still in discussions with the manufacturer. So far, nothing super helpful, but the rep seems to indicate it is option C (hybrid).

There are also advantages to knowing how something works rather than that it simply does work. There are second and third order consequences (good and/or bad) from doing modifications to anything, and if you know how a modification works, you are in a better place to anticipate those second and third order consequences, plan for them, and mitigate or take advantage of them. In addition, knowing how something works can help you easily and cheaply repair it when it breaks (or avoid failure altogether with proper maintenance). Finally, knowing how something works may help you understand new principles of design, which can benefit you in a whole host of ways.

That's how I'm thinking about it.

And if you're coming from an engineering background or your just OCD about how things work, then you HAVE to know how it works. More power to you.

On that note, it does work as advertise. If the PedalMax functions like the Sprint Booster, I wish there was a way to adjust beyond the 30% increase in pedal sensitivity because you eventually get used to it.

You are absolutely correct. But, It has been explained many times in this thread alone how it works along with a few accompanying videos. It boosts the voltage your computer sees from the pedal. That is how it works. The little 60% chip is nothing more than a pair of resistors in heat shrink tubing. I doubt the manufacturer is going to give you every specific detail as to how to they made the product as they have their own trade secrets. This thing is a plug and play unit. If something fails with it just unplug it. It would take me less than 2 minutes to put it back to stock without any tools what so ever. I just don't understand the obsessive must know everything about very this inexpensive product mentality. Your efforts surely could be put to better use elsewhere. :cheers:

Installed the pedalmax on my auto GT premium. Throttle response is 10 times better than stock. Works good in all driving modes, especially normal mode. Easier to get off the line quickly witjout having to floor it.

Thats the beauty of the toggle switches! I love using them, the only regret is, when i do up to speed limit races with other fast cars, sometimes i forget to switch the modes but its always WOT in those situations anyways

I have mine tuned by them and there is a dead spot around half throttle that they can't adjust anymore. I'm wondering if this will completely take that away and make it feel smooth and solid throughout the power band.

Nope, this will not change the tune. It will just make your pedal more sensitive.

I posted on here a few weeks ago about a problem with my Pedal Max so I thought I would give an update. Basically, I got a CEL every time I started the car and when I tried to press the pedal there was no response at all. I spoke to someone at JMS and they gladly sent me a new one while I returned the bad one to them. I installed the new one and it worked fine right off the bat. I can also say that the throttle response is definitely improved and helped with the sluggish feel the car had when accelerating below 3K RPM. Although I was a bit frustrated at first, overall I am happy with the purchase.
