How did it reached 8k rpm then ? Neutral or not, limiter is independent from the transmission (I got that inertia is much lower)

Maybe it was 7499...idk the exact rpm but it was pegged from what I glimpsed. I was more concerned about killing the engine...plus I was in that frantic state of trying to find the key to turn the engine off forgetting that it was push to start....

Had mine for over a year now. No adjustment knob, used it for 8 months at 100% loving every minute of it. Then decided it was a little too much making it hard to modulate throttle carefully through tight turns. I put in the pill reducing it to 60% and it is perfect for me. No problems with mine what so ever. You can not produce what this does for the response and driving experience with "pushing the pedal harder" or a tune. I know because I have used it with and without a tune. I put it back in after a week of trying the tune only. Big difference, car is just more fun to drive! If you are scared of it malfunctioning because of a couple of second hand reports thats your decision. Hundreds or thousands (if you count the other makes that use this too) using them. Don't buy a Prius either!

So I unplugged the device as I await my new one. It makes me so much more aware of the delay the throttle has stock. The device is not the same as stomping on the pedal faster. I only had mine set to around 50-60% as that was perfect for me. Without the device, I can stomp on the pedal but it feels like it has a one second delay before the car goes W0T. With the jms, even set around at half the delay is almost not there at all.

Yep - the throttle is a DOG. I sometimes turn the dial to zero but just can't deal with the lag and "clunky" transmission. Dealing with it until i spring for the tune. Hopefully it'll liven things up like everyone claims. Going in the garage for winter.
