I have a 2019 Gt Premium convertible, and I’m thinking of getting some jacking rails…But I also have a Ford spare tire with a scissor Jack, and want to use it if I get a flat on the Highway. Can anyone recommend a set of jacking rails that do not block access to the pinch weld for the scissor Jack. Thanks for all reply’s. grandpa Bill

The Steeda full length still leave room for the scissor jack. I have them and use my jack stands at the points on the welds where the jacking rails don’t reach.

Thanks for the reply, but I think the convertible rail are somewhat different, and may or may not block the pinch rail. Thanks for the quick reply.
Bill. I will call Steeda tomorrow…

I have the BMR slim jacking rails on my '18 and they do not interfere the pinch rail, as a matter of fact I have had two road flats and used the spare kit. No problems.

Ok just what I wanted to read…thanks, Bill. But according to the bar web site, they don’t work on a convertible Gt. Just fastback cooops…

The light weight jacking rails are smaller than the standard ones, likely leave more room.

That is something to consider…but I don’t want to get them and then have to do return shipping etc etc…. Thanks. Bill

I can take a pic of them on my car but the bracket at the end where it mounts to the car is solid bar on the full length ones, the bar is definitely shorter

A picture or two or three would be very considerate…do you have Steeda or BMR… Thanks Grandpa Bill. Especially where the little pinch weld indicator arrow points to the area of where to but the Jack, so I can see how much space there is between the actual pinch weld and the jacking rail. Thanks

My solution for this is a 3D-prinded adaptor thats clicks into the OEM jack and fits between my BMR rail and the pinch weld.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6156428

I only use the jack in the trunk for an emergency (which hopefully will never come).
The part will hold even with repeated use, but is nothing for continuous use.
It puts the jack not only on the pinchweld, but with the bulge also on the jackingrail.
For all work on the car I have a decent hydraulic jack.

PS: You could also grind the OEM jack a bit with the angle grinder to make it fit despite jacking rail.

I think every FDM printer starting at $100 can do the job.
e.g. https://www.anycubic.com/collections/fdm-printer/products/kobra-go

Over here, you can find people who will print something for you via classifieds and on the internet, there are even companies that do nothing else.

With the Fusion 360 file, which I also provided there, customizations to other jacking rail dimensions (I have BMR) would also be possible.
For customizations relevant dimensions is the height offset between the horizontal surfaces and and the width of the offset (to the center of the vehicle).

Maybe there is someone from the US on the forum who can print for you, @pilotgore e.g. is a maker for some S550 gadgets.

Thanks for the shout out! I’d be happy to help out a fellow forum member.

I’m slightly concerned about the weight of a car on a 3D printed piece such as that, but if you say it works I guess it works :) I’d certainly be interested in what print settings you used.
