Easy Fuel® System
With this system, push to open the fuel door, insert the nozzle and begin
fueling. It is self-sealing and therefore protected against dust, dirt, water,
snow and ice. Wait 5–10 seconds from the time the refueling nozzle is shutoff
until you remove the nozzle from the vehicle to allow residual fuel in the
nozzle to drain into the tank. When using a portable fuel container, slowly
insert the fuel funnel (located in the spare tire compartment), and pour the
fuel into the funnel.
Note: Do not use aftermarket funnels as they will not work with the

Thanks for sharing. Interesting but who uses a funnel to put gas in a spare gas container. I have NEVER seen anyone use one.

Oops, my bad, they are saying when you pour fuel into the tank USING a spare gas container with the funnel. Their choice of words is misleading.

I forgot Ford switched to the easy-fill cap so people would stop setting off their engine light due to loose gas caps. I didn't realize cars came with funnels LOL.

My Grand Cherokee is the same way. It's a little strange the first few times you use it because when it's new, it is kinda stiff and hard to get the nozzle in. Once it's broken in some it's not a problem.

This is the part I was interested in.
"push to open the fuel door"

So the fuel door pushes in to pop open, correct? My 2005 you just pulled open and it had a slot for your finger. I know some cars you push the door and it pops open, but others you have to pop the door from the inside using a lever or button. So, am I reading correctly that the Mustang fuel door pops open when you push it from the outside and does not require a lever or button inside the car?

Yea, If you only want a little boost, I guess you could use that....

I go through a whole big bottle of NOS in my tank every week, that way when I floor it I can yell "DID YOU FEEL THE NOS KICK IN?!" :D

Caution, like it says on the bottle, It's powerful, don't blame me if it fucks up your engine because it's too powerful.

Yes. This first came into production with the introduction of the capless system for the 2010 model year.

I was hoping there IS a (safety) lever or button inside the car.

Although not a deal breaker (far from it), I don't like the idea that anyone could push open my fuel door.
