Took delivery of my very first Mustang yesterday. 22 GT Premium PP1 with 10 Auto. Very excited and ready to get some mods going. Tint of course first, Ford Performance Hood struts ordering soon. Probably do black badges as I didn't get the black out package. I found this one on the lot, very fortunate :)...

Hello all, Stang Dude here. Got my first Mustang when I was sixteen. 1969 302 fastback and a monthlater a 1967 289 coupe. Of the two my dad and I decided to restore the coupe first fory mom. It had the upgraded interior, floor console, roof console, tilt-a-way steering wheel with tach inside the guage pack. We painted her Candy Apple Red. Swapped a couple engines in her (came with a 351W ) before settling on an original 289. It became mine and after a few years I sold it to go to college. šŸ˜„. Fast forward a million years and here I am again with a new '22 GT 10r80, PP1 401A with MR, AE, red interior and of course Race Red exterior plus the optional PP rims. Just completed my first mod. Ford Performance hood struts (which should have come with the car). I will be around on these forums. 10r80 is my next stop.

Hey all,
Nameā€™s John
2020 GT premium M6 - purchased about a year ago.
I did all my pre-purchase research here and really appreciate the level of expertise and support put out there for all of us In the community.
Mods so far are a Livernois tune, MGW shifter, BMR rear cradle supports. Wheels and tires.
Springs, front chassis support and 4.56 gears are next.
Maybe itā€™s too much coffee this morning but I like it when others share their previous cars and how they got to the S550ā€¦ sooo. Wanna hear It? Here it go!

Previous cars (of note) include
82 Camaro Z28. Donā€™t judge - it was the High school project with dad. Learned a lot about cars and how to wrench on them. The story ends like a lot of ā€˜teenager given a car that is a little more than they can handleā€˜ situations. It got totaled by a guard rail that jumped out and sideswiped itā€¦ at least how I remember it.

96 Lincoln Mark VIII. Ford just about got that car right but the transmission sucked and the tall rear end ratio hindered its performance. Sound familiar?

2004 GTO- M6 blue exterior with BLUE leather seats which were actually kinda cool and came off better than youā€™d think.
Pretty much stock. Wife hated the seats and at the time didnā€™t have a lot of time to enjoy it due to trying to get a career going so it had to go.
2007 Tundra - regular cab short bed 2wd
Magnuson Supercharger, IPT transmission valve body, a real limited slip differential. In a straight line it would surprise the $h1t out of you but once the road turned - well - it would surprise you as well but not in the same way. Still, this is the one I regret letting go.

2018 Fusion Sport - cool car but I just really wanted a V8 with a manual so here we are.

Hi all,
My name is Merle. I just picked up my 11th Mustang, first s550. It is a 2019 GT Premium with 401a, active exhaust and PP2. Drove the car home 450 from PA last Thursday, what a great first drive! I immediately left the car home for a week's vacation, so I've been considering mods. May do the Ford Performance Power Pack, but still reading that thread.

This car is quite an upgrade over my 11 GT with the Brembo package, which I sold to my brother. Previously owned a 79 Notch, 82 Notch 5.0, 2 83 Convertibles 5.0, 85 LX Conv 5.0 , 85 GT Conv, 86 LX Conv 5.0, 87 Notch 5.0, 94 GT, 95 Conv, 11 GT Premium.

Not really a fan of the over the top stripes, but they may grow on me. Previous owner clear wrapped the nose so they're staying for a while.

2020 Mustang GT PP1
Happy Tuesday! I have followed for a long time but assumed now was the best time to introduce myself with my recent purchase of my 2020 Mustang GT PP1 Shadow Black. I recently traded in my 2015 Triple Yellow just last week.

I am pretty new to the Mustang World, as just 2 years ago I purchased my first Mustang. I live in between Dayton and Cincinnati and I worked with @beefcake and Finish line to get my first bolt ons and tune with dyno. The 2015 has a Corsa Extreme, LTH, Upgraded Injectors for E85, Ported Intake and the Roush CAI. Finish Line and Terry and team took very good care of me. The Yellow was approaching 100,000 miles so wanted to upgrade.

I now have the 2020 Shadow Black and it only sports the MBRP Exhaust (unsure which one) and a JLT Intake and a VMP tune on the SCT Tuner. I did throw on some wheel spacers to help with the stance of the car The car feels substantially slower, in all gears and speeds. So I will be getting with Terry ASAP. The care ertainly needs to wake up. If by chance anyone knows previous owner/s let me know.

I will throw pics of both cars down below and look forward to any and all help moving forward!

2020 Mustang GT California Special

Hi All,
I am new to Mustang6g but, a long time Mustang owner. My 2020 GT California Special is my 3rd Mustang. I had a highland green 1968 Mustang coupe in high school and a Wimbledon white 1968 GT as my 2nd Mustang back in the 90s before selling it in 2015.

After having a massive coronary and surviving in Jan 2021, I was determined that I would not be without a Mustang again. So, during a trip to my local Ford dealer, Rodeo Ford, they put me in a Silver PP1 with an automatic for a test drive. It was a fun test drive but, I wasn't interested in an automatic and didn't really care about my 0-60 or 1/4 mile times. I actually wanted a GT350 with a 6 speed but, when I walked on the showroom floor, there in the middle of the floor was the Oxford White 2020 GT/CS with the analog gauges and the interior similar to the GT350. So, I thought about the GT350 and started thinking about it becoming a garage queen. I wanted a Mustang that was special but, not so much so that I would be worried about it.

So, the Sales Manager at Rodeo Ford let me drive the car home and show it to my family before signing the paperwork. During that drive how, I was sold on the car. I knew I was going to modify it and loved the GT/CS package as a starting point to build a unique and tastefully modified Mustang.

The first photo is just after getting my first mod, rear window louvers, done and receiving my vanity plate. Living in the Phoenix area, louvers are a must when its 118 degrees and parking outdoors may be required.

I have done several mods after a great amount of thought and research including, wheels and tires, lowering springs, graphics, X-Pipe, PP2 Front splitter. I have more mods in mind that I am working through in my mind including several for the interior. I haven't decided yet which direction I am going to go for gauges. I like both the PP2 gauges and the Shelby Carbon Fiber gauge pod. I am going to do something with the console because that is the one item I have not been a fan of since I purchased the car.

I recently visited a custom interior shop not far from me that was recommended by one of the car clubs I am part of. I inquired about having my console cover in leather with red stitching and matching the center entertainment, dashpads customized steering wheel with red stitching with perforated leather and smooth leather. I was quoted $2,500 to have that done and a requirement to remove my windshield. Seems like quite a few dollars to spend but, after spending nearly $5K for my wheels and tires maybe it isn't in order to have it done properly. However, the removal of the windshield is weighing on my mind.

Anyway, I could go on forever talking about the Mustang. It's great to be part of the mustang6g site and look forward to interacting with my fellow Mustang enthusiasts!

Hi guys. I'm Matt from the New Hampshire seacoast area. Life long Chevy muscle car fan here, but I really like the new Mustang and figured 22 is the year. The new Camaro and Corvette just don't do anything for me. I ordered a 22 Atlas Blue GT 6spd. Performance Package, convertable 401A trim back in February. Car was built last week of June and according to Ford should be at dealer July 29-Aug. 4.
I've been lurking on the forum for a few months now and figured its time to join. Close to receiving my Mustang.
Little about me. My day job is a locomotive engineer. Before the railroad I was a auto mechanic, and heavy equipment mechanic with a bias towards 2 stroke detroits. Did work at a dealer for a short time. Enjoy driving and working on the other cars in my collection. Posted a pick of a couple of my other babies. Will post the Mustang when I get it.
Well daughters calling. Take care all. Looking forward to befriending the Mustang community. New England Dragway is 5 miles from me. Yes I plan on taking some spirited runs with the car.
Matt.

Hello all, thanks for having me. My first car was a ā€˜74 Mach 1. My dad and I rebuilt a ā€™64 and a ā€™66 when I was in high school (he still has the ā€™66). After I gradated college, I bought a ā€™68, low mileage with factory air but had to sell it when I got married and wanted to buy a house. I wish I didnā€™t sell it, but the good news is that my father bought it from me and he still owns the car.
I retired nearly three years ago after almost 30 years as a cop (I know, I knowā€¦). I wanted to purchase a Kona blue convertible then, but our daughter was just starting college and our son High School so I was the good father and didnā€™t get my car. I went back to work full time, my wife and I have saved money our entire careers and (until recently with the stock marketā€™s collapse) had a lot of money invested and we kept on saving, so I could afford the car.

This winter I was diagnosed with cancer, itā€™s been treated and (the doctors tell me) Iā€™m fine, but it got me to thinking. I donā€™t want to piss away our entire savings, but you just donā€™t know how long you have.

I havenā€™t even driven a S550 yet, but knew I wanted one. So, on March 10th, I went in and ordered a ā€™22 Atlas Blue GT Convertible. Itā€™s a 401A, AT, Magneride, Performance Package, Active Exhaust.

Car was built on 7/24 and is awaiting shipping as of today.

Iā€™ve been following this forum since just after ordering the car. Thanks for all the great information and insight you all have been giving me.

Since I donā€™t have any of my ā€™22, hereā€™s a few of the 1968 until I can get my hands on my new convertible.

Hi! Thanks for adding me! New Mustang owner, Bought a used 2020 GT in Grabber Lime with just shy of 7000 miles on it in great shape. I have always wanted a Mustang as a toy, something to just drive around in, excited to finally have one. I Live in Southern Maine only about 1 hour north of Boston, Mass. I have owned only Fords since I got my license (Well one was a Mercury Mountaineer, but that still counts LOL). I also own a 2014 F-150 FX4 that I bought brand new in 2014, I have done some work on that as well. Love modding these machines! It's addictive! Already going to car shows and cruise nights, driving down to the beaches and so on!

I am married and have 2 kids, my son is in school for Auto Body, he actually did a bunch of body work on my F-150, so looking forward to working on the Mustang with him. I am a career Paramedic.

I already have had great interactions with people on here, helping me out with some stuff on the Mustang already! Glad I found this!

I'm a schoolteacher in north New Jersey and a freak for American sports cars. This is my first Mustang and driving this thing has been an amazing experience. Joining this page to hopefully get some advice on building my car towards 700 HP and possibly meeting Mustang enthusiasts in my area.

I currently drive a 2020 GT Premium
