First time Mustang owner - just bought a new 2018 GT Premium with PP1, 10-speed auto, etc. I've always been a Camaro/GM guy (owned an '87 Z28 and heavily modified 1995 Pontiac Trans Am LT1), but the new 2018 GT with the gen 3 Coyote was so good, I had to get one. Plus, it looks better than the '18 Camaro SS! Loving driving this beast around town.

Not really new as you can see by my join date. Back when I had my 2011 GT this forum was not at the popularity it is now. I think AFM and TMS were the two big forums then.

Fast forward many cars and now I am in a 2019 GT / CS. Had it a week now and glad to be back in. This time around am enjoying the 10R80.

Here is my build thread with also some info on what I got and how I like it: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/project-silver-bullet.112968/

Regards.

Hello all. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm in AZ. Just picked up this sweet 16 gt premium with the performance pack tuesday. So far I absolutely love it. Have always wanted a mustang since I was a kid and now I finally have one. So far the list of goodies I have discovered on the car are an mbrp cat back, injen evolution intake, hood struts and I think p51 wheels (sending a pic to pk auto so they can confirm since there are no markings). The tires are Front: 275/35/20 Rear: 305/35/20. So far the only thing I don't like about the car is the awful stereo (9 speaker shaker). Not sure if this is the norm or because the previous owner installed aftermarket speakers in the full range locations. They are jl audio's and if you adjust the bass past the flat setting they honestly sound blown.

Unless they’re reps (although they look like the real deal) those are p51’s. I spy mud flaps and she’s definitely lowered as well. Incredibly good looking car sir. LOVE ruby red

Thank you. Forgot to mention the mud flaps, and yes the rears rub a bit(need to do a minor bit of trimming). Its funny you mentioned its lowered because I thought so too. I asked the dealer if it was and they swore up and down its not. Maybe the 20's are causing an illusion? I just need to get under it and verify.

It’s probably lowered an inch. A 275/35 is a hair taller than the factory 265/35 like I have and my car is stock ride height. You can see the amount of wheel gap I have going on even with those huge foundry wheels. Whenever I get the time, I’ll be installing some Steeda linears and I’m going back and fourth between 19’s or 20’s. I’d prefer the 19’s with the weight savings but with springs that lower the car an inch, a 275/35/20 would fill the well perfectly. I’ll probably end up with the 20” p51’s as they’re light and look great. Your car only solidifies that thought process

I honestly think these wheels are what really drew me in. Once I get a chance to crawl under the car I'll let you know what I find

Please share the photos of the linears after you install - we appreciate your support & if there is anything I can help with, please don't hesitate to let me know!

Hey, name's Pierre. Got my wife a 2017 GT Premium convertible about a year and a half ago. What brought me here was this post so thank you nerdh3rd for that. I bought it used, it was an Enterprise rental and has the Shaker audio but no subwoofer. Also didn't take long to find out that the wiring harness doesn't include the wiring from the DSP to the trunk. I don't want to use a line lever adaptor but tapping into the sub line out on the DSP shouldn't be to difficult right? I'm sure you can imagine the conversation with the Ford parts dept. I bought the factory manual CD from Helm hoping I could find what I needed but the connector numbers don't cross over to parts. They're aware they have pigtail kits but have no idea which one is for the DSP. All I needed were part numbers, so thanks again. I can't wait to start this next project! I've already added Rattletrap all around the trunk/back seat area, doors and anywhere else I could reach. Just dying for amp and sub.

This is also my/our first ever high performance car. Closest I've experienced was a '86 Cougar with the 302. I thought it was a hot rod but damn this thing is absolutely amazing. Took it to Tail of the Dragon earlier this year and it blew my mind. I was a little scared at first because of the 435 HP and the Mustang reputation of being tail happy but it handled it like it was born to. If you don't know what TOD is, I highly recommend it. It's a roller coaster for your car.

So yeah, I'm super impressed with what Ford has done to the Mustang and I have no idea if I'll ever do any performance mods. I can't imagine needing anything more than it already does. I've never been a hot rod guy, more of a tinkerer and customizer. I like a good sound system and tech/gadgets. So once I get the sound right what the hell else am I gonna do?

Cheers
Pierre

Hey guys, just purchased a ‘17 GT this week and can’t wait for nice weather to cruise! Just spent a decent amount on the Black Friday sales and plans for more. Located in central Ohio. Here’s a quick picture from the ride home.

Hi guys, I'm Matt from Cookeville Tennessee. I've had my 2016 Mustang gt performance package for a little over a year now. I installed a whipple 2.9 stage 2 over the summer. The car is my daily driver and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I was an active member at SVTPerformance back in the early 2000's but when I bought my s550 I found that the best forum for the latest mustang was here. So here I am..

2015 GT 71k miles. I've had her since 8k miles and Just got the front bumper, scoops, and wing wrapped in glossy black. Had rims powder coated glossy black. Also did resonator delete. Looking forward to doing more work in the near future.

Hey guys. My name is Hunter! New to the mustang crowd. I picked up a 2015 ecoboost premium about a month ago. I have a set of wheels and a carbon track pack spoiler ready to be installed and tires on the way! Glad to be part of the forum.
