What's up everyone. Just bought a 2015 6sp Ecoboost in Competetion Orange a couple weeks ago, and been lurking the forums since my research started on this car a couple months ago. Glad to have found such a great source of info on these cars online, but I guess that was to be expected joining the Mustang family. Was a Camaro guy back in the day, and drove a stupid fast Z28 I loved, but when it was time to buy a new car so the wife could daily the new Jeep, I ended up on the S550 Mustang vs the Camaro, Challenger, and Charger based on looks alone. The new Mustangs are, in my opinion, the sexiest Mustang since the 60's.

Been having fun with it, but also intend to take good care of it. I'm currently torn on whether I want to do any mods at all, or just keep it stock and reliable. For me, it's a blast the way it is, and I have some curvy roads on the beach close to where I live where I feel she really shines. The color is definitely loud to say the least. The first thing out of anyone's mouth so far I've shown it to is "orange!?" My last 4 cars were black, so even for myself it took some getting used to. I didn't purposely get comp orange, but my choices were limited in the mileage/trim/price range I was looking in. Either way, the color looks better and better to me every day day I look in my driveway.

Anyway, thanks for having me, and look forward to learning more and more about the community as time goes on. Cheers!

Greetings! FNG here. Just picked up a 2015 Mustang GT 6 Speed Auto, bone stock. Who buys a Mustang, owns it for 3 years and does NOTHING to it but drive it? Don't know. Anyway, I guess that means I get to have all the fun! Only thing I've done so far is the sound tube delete. "Sound tube? Whaaaaa? You're kidding, right" I'd never heard of the thing before (last 'stang I owned was a 1990...), but knew it was destined for the delete heap!
I've got Gorilla lug nuts on hand, but haven't had a chance to install them, yet. I've got all the PP front stiffening brackets on order (thanks to this forum!) except the strut tower brace and cowl brace. Still trying to decide which one I want.
Great forum, guys!

Hello my name is Chris and this is my 16 PP car. I have owned it just under 2 months. So far I have added a Borla Atak catback, Eibach sportlines, Niche Verona staggered wheels, Airaid intake, and JLT catch can. I have an nGauge as well from my old s197, I just need to get a new Lund tune. I look forward to learning about my s550 here.

Thats a beautiful ride. I'm leaning into a PP2 like that. How do you feel about it for a daily driver? Does the mag. ride do well in the street? Any Info would be appreciated, thanks.

Hey gang, first post.

3 weeks ago I had my truck in the shop for 5 days and needed a rental. They gave me a Mustang Ecoboost. I was happy they gave me a Mustang, but not so thrilled about a 4 cylinder automatic. After playing with it for 2 days I was really impressed with this thing. Over the following 3 days I really put this 4 banger through its paces. I was VERY impressed how it handled everything I threw at it. I was also impressed at how hard it pulled from both a dead stop and at cruising speeds. I have absolute respect for the Ecoboost!

I came home from work and said to my wife “you know what really sucks about driving that damn rental is now I want to be back in a Mustang”. My wife was protesting my wanting to get a new Mustang saying she hates driving a stick saying she sucks at it and of course my response was simply it ain’t your car as she just got a new Jeep. She stuck to her guns saying she sometimes needs to drive my car, which is true. So after some research and discovering the auto was faster than the stick. My selling point to my wife was submitting to her that she is correct and I should get an auto. ;-)

With that said, 5 days later I bought a Mustang GT Magnetic, PP1 Automatic. After driving 40+ years, my first automatic was my 2011 Ford Raptor. I loved that beast but I traded her in for a new beast and I'm loving the sheer raw power.

I used to be part of the Mustang community with an ’86 GT vert and a ’99 GT. Both had your typical bolt-ons and I’m happy to be back with fellow enthusiasts.

A basic tune won't affect reliability, and it does amazing things to wake up the engine. I ran Cobb Stage 1 for over a year and have nothing but good things to say about that, and I hear lots of good things about Ford Performance tune, which is the best for keeping your warranty if that's an issue.

My name is Bob and about 7 weeks ago I got my factory ordered 2019 Mustang GT PP 2 and have been having a ball with it ever since. I spec'd it out to be my new track car with cloth, Recaro's and minimal electronics. I have been tracking Porsche's since 1997 and I am looking forward to learning how to set this up and learn how to drive it fast. My home tracks are Oregon Raceway Park, The Ridge and Area 27. I had Oregon Raceway park in mind when I ordered this car. This is the first time driving on Michelin Cup 2's and I have to say I am impressed on how well they stick in the rain. I have since gotten PP 1 wheels and Michelin 3S plus for everyday street driving. Thanks for having me.

2018 base model Mustang GT MT here. Shadow Black. Already put a little over 2k miles on it in a little over a month. I really love driving it. Considering making it my daily even through winter (obviously I'll get winter tires). Anyway, Hello all!

Was that just the AP and CAI, or did you have anything else done? I see a lot of people mentioning upgrading the intercooler for stage 1 in hot climates, but not sure how accurate that is.

What kind of differences did you notice?

Thanks for the info btw.

Hi all,

I live in Melbourne, Aus and have just taken delivery of my new sewing mach.. i mean barbec.... 2018 Mustang GT. I went into this purchase knowing full well the engine would start ticking, and tick it does at 200KM on the ODO haha. At this stage it's only while cold, fine when warm, but hey, we know how the story goes. Still love it regardless, it's a crazy unnecessary loud obnoxious fun-machine that sucks the stress out of life. In Australia (as most of you would probably know from others here) the base model is similar to the PP1 in the U.S. and includes the digital gauges, 6 pot brembos, black 19s, Shaker Pro (for the 18), etc. Mine is optioned with auto, stripe, magneride and Recaros (which have electric adjustment in Aus for some stupid reason). Things i wish i could option that our U.S. buddies get; centre gauges, cross-traffic alert, carbon fibre trim, different coloured leather, and a few other things. Love the car though, it's a crazy diesel-sounding ball of fun on wheels. Pity the mirrors are useless, the bonnet has no gas struts and they left the handbrake and bonnet release on the LHD sides. Also have a turbo MY18 i30, a 2013 FG2 XR6 Turbo and a blown 5.0 Coyote (called a Miami) 2016 XR8 Sprint - the last two of which would only be known by Australians i'd imagine. Happy to be part of the club!

I started out with just the AP, then added CAI, then catback exhaust, then intercooler and Stage 2. Next year I plan on downpipe and Stage 3. I'm not in a hot climate, so I can't tell you much about that. The AP is the one thing that makes the biggest difference in how it drives.

As for the differences, the biggest thing I noticed was how much more responsive the engine was to the gas pedal. For me, it was a lot more fun to drive after the tune. You can find lots of dyno graphs that show how much more torque and hp it develops, but I haven't dyno'ed my car. According to my butt, it's just plain faster than it was.

Also, if you need to justify the AP, it has an economy setting that gives you a little bit better mpg. So if you use that long enough, the AP can pay for itself. And the economy mode is still a lot more fun than the stock tune.
