That's exactly what I was thinking. Like the triple white Mustang or Beetle.
I believe they should have come up with a different name then. Still, a Mustang with yellow interior and top... might be a bit much.
Book calls for 124 in lbs and then another 180°. I have, in the past, torqued EOP switches to factory spec and cracked the engine. Granted that was a K24 Honda but that additional 180° feels like I'm about to strip the threads if not crack the block. Yes, I used PTFE sealant.
The compressor was engaged and running with low freon. I didn't even think to check if it was cycling on and off with the stumbling idle since I never put those two together.
Re-charging the A/C got rid of the idle stumble/stall and I have no idea how it's related.
My wife has been mentioning that her car has been acting worse lately. Not knowing where to begin I had plans to tinker with it one day. The day never came. We went out to dinner last Saturday and I...
It's been much better, actually. It used to be routine that, during her commute, exiting the interstate, soon as she came to a stop it would stumble/stall. It was still doing it right after replacing the solenoids but worked itself out over time. It quit stalling all together and if the idle...
Finally got around to purchasing a 19-22 5 button prox key and this is really annoying. I was unable to program it to our 17 with my purpose built car key programmer but I was able to do it with the on board procedure in the owners manual. Took three tries but it worked. I have absolutely no...
It has inevitably gone right back to the random stumble/stall.
What I completely forgot to mention was that I have been sending in oil samples to Blackstone Labs at the beginning, middle, and end of one run of oil. I did this for peace of mind and process of elimination that the oil is not a...
Maybe. They use the same 128 bit chip and the remote entry is on the same frequency but they have a different FCC ID. We have a 17, I may just try it and see.
Spoke with a tuner and his professional opinion is, given the symptoms, a tune/re-flash would make no difference.
The car continues to run flawlessly and has not stalled again. My best guess is it had to re-learn it's idle through a few drive cycles. Still... just a guess.
Stalled out again. It has been running absolutely flawless since the VCT replacement. Still is, just randomly stalled out at a stop light one time yesterday morning. There was no stumble, just like turning it off. No CEL and no codes.
I have heard of some newer ones needing software updates...
I'm smack dab in the middle of this repair and what a freakin nightmare. I ended up buying the FR3Z-14A411-Y pigtail kit from Ford based on TSB 18-2362. Eleven wires to splice and an additional ground for the lid. Some of the original wires are faded so it was a challenge to match them all up...
Agreed. If you're going to get the G2 kit make sure you will not be interrupted during the painting process. I came dangerously close to ruining the last coat on the last caliper. I wish I had thought of splitting it.
