Sweet what dealer did you order from? And curious what mistakes you made with the lightning..
I ordered mine from the Olathe Ford off of 135th. Are you ready for this novel..."Early adopter syndrome". I initially upgraded the Eaton to a KB 2.3 being a brand new owner I didn't do much research on the 2.3 KB but I found out the hard way the rotors were known to seize. They seized twice and the last time it turned the blower into a paper weight. At that time Whipple had just introduced it 3.4L blower to compete with the KB 2.8; mentally I was frustrated with KB at the time so I decided to give Whipple a shot. With that said I honestly believe that blower was to big for that motor. Did it make good number...YES, was it a blast to drive...YES but there wasn't that many running great times with it compared to the 2.8 KBs. Also when Trickflow released their heads for the 5.4 I got a set of those which I would do 10 times over the problem was my tuner convinced me to go with these "custom grind" cams for me to reach my ultimate goal. Big mistake again BIG doesn't always mean BETTER and the "Early Adopter Syndrome" the cams were to damn big, a nightmare to tune, but did they sound good....HELL YEA. Once again I think I would've been happy with some off the shelf stage 2 cams. "Hed the Advice of Others".... it was known amongst the Lightning community that 650 hp was kind of that unicorn number. Once you start to go past that number stuff starts to break more frequently, you're turning wrenches everyday and the vehicle just isn't fun anymore. Once again I thought I could safely get around that. When I was making about 640ish the truck was as reliable as it would come. I could get in it crank it and drive it anywhere, it would run 10.0, 10.1 CONSISTENTLY, I could beat on it like a drum and it wouldn't miss a damn beat. Basically once I crossed that threshold I needed to make a decision be happy with what I have or turn it into a race truck. Always use a reputable company.....Long story short I had a few motor issues and I was recommend a local guy that was good with LS stuff and decent with modular motors.....lets just say the truck was just never the same. Don't get me wrong I loved my Lightning but I've learned from those mistakes......I Think:doh:

Yikes that doesn't sound fun at all, I bet it's not too long after the '18's come out that we will start seeing packages put together with good numbers. I hear the DI is going to be easier to ultimately tune as well but I wouldn't want to be one of the first ones on the road.

Olathe Ford is where my folks got their '16 Explorer, right down the street from their place whenever I'm in town my dad and I cruise the lot

My first Ford,
Long story, but I am a GM guy, my father worked for Buick for many years, and I live in a GM town. My wife and myself were talking about getting a newer sporty car, like a Camaro but nothing ever came about it.

Went to visit a friend in FL, and he had me drive his son's 2014 Mustang, and then he said I should go to the local dealer and drive one of the Supercharged 2017's they have for demo cars. It was amazing, almost bought one on the spot, brought my wife back the next day and she agreed. We did not have the time right then to purchase a car, we went on a cruise the following week, and the 2018's prices were released.

Ended up finding a new (112 miles) 2016 Roush Stage 3 mustang for a screaming great Deal. Mustang GT Premium, and all of the Roush goodies except for the Roush tool kit, Roush hood strut kit (not sure if it was an option in 2016) and the Roush solenoid covers.

I have already put the Roush solenoid covers on and changed the tail lights (not shown). Want to put the Roush hood strut kit on next.

I am a pretty gentle driver, I have yet to do a burnout... I spin to tires shifting gears and spin the tires on takeoff, but I have yet to use the line lock.

Hey guys, I sold my E90 M3 that just went out of warranty for a 2016 GT. I'm loving the torque even though the redline is 1,200rpm lower. However I can't believe how many people compliment and talk to me about my stock GT at gas stations, parking lots, etc... I've never been approached this much in my bimmers before. I guess there's something about American cars or Mustangs that just make people feel more comfortable.

The only other Mustang I've had that elicits similar compliments as my Ruby Red 17 was my Teal 93 Cobra. (That I should have kept)

Unless you count the one time at night, Every time I go to a gas station someone stops me and talks to me about my 2016. And I am not in friendly territory.

Whatsup everybody. My name is Kevin, I'm a SoFlo native and this is my 2016 ecoboost and first ever mustang :) https://flic.kr/p/Y48sBZ. So far what I have planned for car performance wise is the Ford Performance tune along with a mishimoto intercooler. I'm relatively new to the mustang and forum scene but would love to meet up with anyone down here in the area to talk cars and what not. Pleasure meeting you all :headbang:
