Well, this is the first car I've ever owned that didn't have dedicated jacking points built into the car. I don't feel comfortable jacking on the pinch welds or even getting some of those temporary puck adapter things, so jacking rails were the best option.

I considered the BMR and Steeda ones as well, but BMR seemed too heavy and overbuilt and the shortness of the Steeda made me uncomfortable even though it's probably fine. J&M was kind of the middle ground, so I went with that.

They work just as expected so I'd say worth it.

The BMR rails are indeed "overbuilt." That's why I'm using them. No issues installing and the most robust units on the market, exactly what I wanted in a rail.

Yeah. If these start showing signs of weakness (bending, denting, etc), then I'm moving to the BMRs.

When installed, do these rails (or BMR, or Steeda) cause any ground clearance issues? More specifically, is the lowest part of either rail lower than any other part of the undercarriage (exhaust, etc)?

My Steeda do not have any ground clearance issues. They are just below the lip where the pinch weld jacking points are. Mine are the newer ones that are not as tall as the older version. I did not have to put them on ramps or jack the car up to get to the bolts. Not difficult just a bit awkward laying on the ground and getting the bolts loose.

Hmm....the only issues i had with mine was they weren't labeled. For future reference i would never start threading with a ratchet. If you can't get it started by hand with the apex bit it's off. Wish i was still stationed out there, ida given you a hand. Lived in the housing on Moffett and i do miss the area.

Nope, no ground clearance issues. They sit just a tiny bit lower than the pinch welds.
