New friction disks on 2 piece rotors new DTC 30 pads bedded pads 35 to 5mph 10 times and 45 to 5mph 3 times moderate braking let cool. 1 autocross event 5 runs 65sec long + 8 20min track sessions at mid Ohio (best lap was sub 142 so the were getting some use). Outer left rear pad is worn more that the inner. this caliper obviously need a rebuild. I also have a crack in the right front friction disk that makes it unserviceable. I will need new friction disks all round and more rear pads plus a rebuild on the LR caliper at the least. I already have another set of DTC 60 from pads NIB.

Opt 1 stick with the 2 piece rotor setup above and rebuild both rear calibers.

Opt 2 pull the two piece setup and give away what's good with the sale of DTC 60 front pads NIB rebuild my rear calibers and reinstall the stock brakes Will do this for the remainder of the AutoX season.

Opt 3 GT 350R brake kit from LMR. only worry in my rear wheel fitment since I have 2 sets of HP wheels with good autocross and street/track tires.

Opt BEST... AP Racing by Essex Radi-CAL Competition Brakes. Only downside, I'm gonna have to sell some organs, plasma, and whatever else I can...

Edit: I believe the issue may have been the slides binding up or the piston was not seated (screwed back in) in the caliper. With that many sessions on the pads you really need to rotate them but again they are sliding calipers, they should move by hand easily. Also make sure the parking brake is adjusted properly.

Hard to tell from your photos but the wear difference on the pads doesn't seem that bad. Close enough that I wouldn't be worried.

I got tired of screwing around and went with Essex AP Racing front and rear.
How many track days to you hit a month? More expensive that the 350 kit but I just want it to work... Ill check out your threads, thanks

I would assume you've got all nannies disabled if not also the fuse pulled?

Just get an opposed piston caliper. All I've seen are 4 pots, whereas a 2 would suffice.

The problem with using the GT 350 brake kit is you also need the GT 350 front spindles. Because the 350 front rotors will not clear the spindles because of the magnaride, that is why you need the 350 spindles, plus you will need 350 spec wheels as the HP wheels will not clear.

Maybe try just a rear brake upgrade like a wilwood or baer.

For a track car is there any merit to just dispensing with the rear dust boots?

I don't know why you guys fret over brakes so much. Just go slower on the straights and/or use less brake and work on carrying much higher entry speeds. 😄😄😄

I just completed a full GT350 brake upgrade to my 2019 GTPP1 car. I put together my own kit of half used and half new parts for around the same price as the FP M-2300-Y kit. So it's pricey.
Instead of the front adapter bracket, I put on used front knuckles and control arms, and with the CaliperFlexion studs.

I got the Ford non-drilled rotors.

I no longer swap front rotors between track and street days. I just swap between track and street pads, so everything is easier.
