I've been seeing ads for Mustangs on this site forever.
Finally one caught my eye and I've been looking at it for a few days trying to decide whether I should pursue upgrading to a Mach 1 or not.
Next to grabber lime, grabber blue is my color of choice.
Anyway, this one particular car seems almost too good to be true.
I'm a little suspicious of it for several reasons, it's not at a Ford dealership for one, and it's better priced than any of the other Mach 1 's I've seen for sale online by at least $3000 dollars.
Plus it's been at this dealership for over 300 days?
And the price didn't start sky high and gradually come down. It's stayed within $200 the whole time?
What gives?
Clean Carfax, one owner, no wrecks, optioned like I'd want it.
Oh, I live 1200 miles away so checking it out in person is not happening.
I figured some of you guys might have seen the ad, or be familiar with this particular car?
Any thoughts on it?
Would you be leery?
Thanks for any input.

Do they salt the roads in Ohio?
Is it weird that I wont look at cars from where there is snow and salt?
The blue is cool!

I'm sure they salt the roads there. But with only 4500 miles on it and being at the car lot for 300+ days I'm not too worried about it being a rust bucket underneath.
I got my green GT from a Ford dealer in Detroit, with 2900 miles on it and it's been fine down here in Texas. The undercarriage was perfect.

My guess is its still there because its a hole in the wall used car lot out in the middle of no where Ohio. I'm in Ohio and its a 3 hr drive for me to get there. Also its almost identical to mine, I also have the red calipers, upgraded PP2 style wheels and nav, the rest is identical, right down to the color.

If there is someone here from the Toledo area, they are a lot closer, maybe they can go look at for you.

BTW mine was ordered by a ford dealer in Corpus Christie TX and I had to get it shipped up to Cleveland, cost me 800.

Wow that's cheap.
The shipping for my green GT from Detroit to the Central Texas hill country, was $1300 back in 2021.
I'd have to buy this one sight unseen as well and have it shipped.
Cheaper than flying out and driving it home.
Good insight on it being in some out of the way place. I have no clue about the area at all.
Thanks. 👍

It was cheap because it was an AutoNation ford dealer in Corpus and I bought it at an AutoNation dealer up here and they are contracted to a shipper who offers them a cut rate. If I had to line up my own shipping, it probably would have cost me 13-1500

It's SW of Toledo along the Indiana border with no easy or direct route to get there.

That seems out of the atmosphere crazy expensive…
Especially for a non HP car…
My 2 cents

I had the same car, that s about right on the price with those miles IMO....probabaly get a few bucks off too. Fly out, look, and either drive it home or fly home and be glad you looked at it and found what you didn t like. Shipping is another whole process I don t care for. good luck.

Really?
I looked at several others and they were all non HP, which is what I want, and they were quite a bit more expensive.
Like $3k more.
Plus the Carfax website listed it as over $3000 less than comparable cars.

If you decide to fly up here to look at it, Toledo or Ft. Wayne would be the nearest airports, but it might be cheaper to fly into CLE, Detroit or even Columbus. No matter how you slice it, you'll need to rent a car to get there.
