I'm with the crowd that don't like or hate any particular wheel color. I used to think there is no way I would ever like a bronze wheel but I have seen some fantastic looking ones. I think silver goes well with certain colors. While I don't like silver as much, I do like polished.

... like I do, then you may have thought about painting your original equipment wheels.

So, I decided to do that, and I bought some plasti dip paint so that I could prototype it. They don't offer a silver, so I bought grey and then I added some actual silver "mag wheel" paint on top of that. I carefully covered the barrel of the wheel to avoid overspray (thinking that it would be difficult to remove) although I got a fair amount on the tire, I was able to clean it off.

Natch I followed instructions and still that plasti dip is not so easy to remove. I ended up using my pressure washer.

Attached below are the results. I tried to take a few good pictures, but only got these three that were decent. I'm curious to hear what others think. Black wheel haters only please. I know what you black wheel lovers will say. LOL

Love how the stock caliper looks more nicely tucked now with the silver mag color contrast.

I like both actually, magnetic is such a versatile color. It looks like the silver reflects more light onto the brake caliper. I think the machined surface draws your eye more to the outside of the wheel.

I like black wheels. But there is just something about these wheels that look like they don't belong on a performance car. So, any change is an improvement. I have the same wheels, so I'm not just picking on yours. I haven't figured out what to do about it, yet. I am not a fan of big 19" and 20" wheels with 305 tires. They are a pain in the ass.

I also have no issue with all black but I like the contrast in my GT/CS wheels. The all silver just looks to "in your face" on a magnetic car. Maybe outline the spokes in black or charcoal. Actually reversing the originals.

I don’t like the base wheels (agree they look economy car cheap) but they look much better Silver!

I also never knew they were split spoke until now!!!
