Two things good about winter. No insects. Those obamas my dog blows out every day get frozen solid and are easy to shovel up.
Do you save the obamas for the republicans?
After all; that is what they eat...................................:cwl:

Just bought blizzaks from a guy who sold his S550 for $300 a set on steel rims. Haven't tried it yet we have a good amount if snow. This might be my daily next year.

I grew up in central TX and lived in Ga for a little while. Moved to Illinois and after 2 years said screw that. Moved to SoCal and once that contract was up here to Vegas. Suppose to hit the upper 20’s for the low, might have to pull out the “heavy” hoodie.. 3 months out of the year it’s hot here and sucks, the other 9 months are great. I miss the snow as far as recreation goes like snow boarding but f&$k living in that stuff, not for me.
That’s what is so great about Vegas. Hot days — swimming pool. Winter sports — Mt. Charleston is less than an hour away and there are a ton of ski resorts just up the road in Utah. SoCal beaches are a 4 hour drive. The only thing I get tired of is having to shovel all the sunflakes off the driveway.

Oh, holy @#$%@#$ I love that car. I've wanted one of those forever. I mean as in I tried to get the ol' man to buy my mom one when he decided to buy her a '70 Cutlass, but no dice. Sigh! Been pissed about that for 50 years.
here's the '70 Cutlass with a tree on it - and a drunk Santa admiring it.

Dry or not. Until there a first good rain or two in the spring, salts still getting kicked up and around from vehicles and trucks. Might not see it across the car but your undercarriage sure is. Granted I also don’t do automatic car washes as it causes swirls too. :)

Not driving the car for 6 months out of the year is BS. I need to move.......... End of rant!
I drove my Mustang year 'round in Benton Harbor. I DD my car here in NoVa now.

It's not a problem at all. Just get the correct tires.

Well, heck, never mind the 442, even your plain old Cutlass was a convertible. Couldn't talk the ol' man into that, either. Mom worried about her beehive hairdo back in the day, probably. Assuming I end up where dear old dad is in the afterlife, he's gonna get an earful about this, I promise you! And you see where I live. The town was founded by and named after Mr. Olds himself!

This is the exact reason I bought my 17 GT/CS over an 04 termi. I wouldn't take that termi for winter DD'ing here in montreal and 04's still catch the rust a bit (although far more resistant than previous generations) meanwhile the S550 has more corrosion resistant metal, snow/wet mode, easier power control, stability control and not to mention I get to run on regular vs premium. I have no problem with my '17 being dirty for 5 months of the year, there are a lot of sunny clear days in the winter also.

Not to mention the expense of a titled insured $50k car sitting in the garage.

Or that I can see through from one side to the other of my rusty winter minivan. Which doesn't have heated anything or remote start. And sits outside covered in snow when I need to go somewhere.

If I was richer I'd follow the F1 circuit and pro tennis circuit around the globe because they chase the summer sun all year round!

Sig is right on, Salt and Chemical >dust< is quite real, there is both dry and wet, road spray, that gets all over, and underneath frame and chassis, plus, in Minn. they still will >try< and repair, ie fill pot holes with asphalt, i still can get tar and oil on all vehicles paint, and wheels in winter....:frown:

I put all seasons on mine so I could drive it as long as the weather doesn't get too crazy. I really enjoyed driving my Miata with snow tires on it. It's amazing how much difference they make. But storing an extra set of wheels and tires and having to get rid of them when I sold the car was a pain in the butt.

45° here today! That's warm enough to do some outdoor chores in a sweat shirt and run a few errands with the Mustang. First time it's been out since the end of October.
