Last night I swerved to avoid a deer, went off the road and hit a fence. Should have took the bastage out.

Thankfully, I don't have this problem, although the sightings have become more frequent around the local river valleys but I think they tend to stay down there instead of wandering up to the roads. What we have are Canada Geese. Saw a pair on our street the other night and am hoping they are not mating anywhere nearby, although if so, the now regular appearing coyotes will maybe get them. They wander aimlessly about and won't move for a car. Had to laugh one time going to work on what used to be the local "highway" and saw the splattered remains of one. I chuckled to myself, imagining a transport truck bearing down on it blowing its horn, while the stupid goose stood in the middle of the road honking back at it, right up until it got mashed.

Well some good news (dang I really wanted a new car) I took it to an alignment shop today. Was able to really go over the car. Nothing is tweaked. The crash did knock the alignment out. The track problem was due to wildly different rear camber. -1.8 drivers side and -.5 passenger side.

Everything is back to my preferred specs. Body shop in 2 weeks.

I'd say $8,000-$12,000. The body shop will find lots that the adjuster missed.

I've hit 2 over the years with our '88 Trooper. 1st time I had just cleared RR tracks after stopping and a herd jumped up from the ditch/wooded area right after I cleared tracks. I was maybe moving 10-15 mph. Broke the grille, headlight and turn signal. No sheet metal damage, I was able to repair it myself.

Last time was about 18 months ago, was running about 50 down the highway and a herd suddenly appeared in the road in front of me. I had barely lifted my foot from the gas when I popped one of them. $1800 at the body shop and I had to source all my own parts as none were available from the body shop sources. Grille, headlight, turn signal, left fender, fender liner. Found a pristine, new to the yard, no rust, '89 Trooper at the Pull a Part in Augusta, GA. Took a year to find the wheel opening trim, finally at the warehouse in Japan, was told there were only 6 pieces left in the world.

So far no problems with my '21 GT but I think about the deer all the time. No night time driving with the Mustang! Good luck with your repair/replacement!

Went to check on the car, found out the fender is on national backorder. Official release date is 07/15/22.

Anyone have a 2 gen right side fender for sale?

I ordered both fenders, replacing the bent GT ones with GT350.. they eventually arrived 7 weeks after order. Body shop says they are not great quality, needing some beating and even some filling. Another few hours work just to get them in a printable condition.

I feel ya.. all parts are is very short supply, it’s been 8 wks now for wheel and legs drivers airbags.. a big lesson.. ‘Don’t crash your race car’ on the first weekend of the year.

I want Ford parts so to do GT350 fenders I need a bunch more parts. Not a straight swap. Hope the used one I found is in good shape.
