LMAO!You win the internet for today.
At this point you might as well wait for the customers to dyno it and release their figures... Ford doesn't appear to be slightly interested in releasing any sort of performance specs. How do you think Ford will release the hp/tq numbers of the S550? Is it typically done through a press release? Or will it get leaked and then "officially" released by Ford? This is the first new car launch I have followed so closely, so I don't have any prior experience on how they do it. What do y'all think?
And that is the main reason I believe we are going to be underwhelmed by the HP numbers. If Ford had to big numbers to tout from either the EB4 or new Coyote they would be riding those to stir up even more interest (and order/sales) of the new S550.At this point you might as well wait for the customers to dyno it and release their figures... Hell, even Dodge is releasing #'s on cars that won't hit the street until way after the S550. The new Hellcat has 707HP and a "NHRA certified" 11.2 @ 125mph on production tires.
Agreed, I'm expecting disappointment just like with the weight gain. I originally thought they were holding off until the entire 2015 Challenger line specs were announced. Now that the Hellcat is out and even with quarter mile times I have no idea what Ford is doing. I don't think they want to piss off their base but they're doing a fine job of doing so.And that is the main reason I believe we are going to be underwhelmed by the HP numbers.
