Since the new camaro is still in development stage, my guess is they would keep it under wraps long as possible as far as stock versus gt350 or whatever...even then it would not matter much since the mustang will be out before the camaro does
Holding off to keep GM guessing at this point is foolish. They'll have plenty of time after the release of the 15 Mustang to make adjustments. The only company Ford can get a one up on is Fiat and hopefully crush the R/T 392 and regular SRT8.

In order to ascertain the horsepower and torque figures, one must endure an epic journey to a volcano and toss in a golden ring, apparently.

Nice LTR reference there!

I think we'd have better luck finding Horcrux's than getting info from Ford.

I'm sure Ford doesn't have a good reason for withholding the numbers. They're just doing it to intentionally frustrate everyone.

Some say that he already knows the hp/tq for the upcoming mustang, and that he was so impressed he actully uttered the word "damn." All we know is he is called THE STIG!

(peels off in 15 GT)

Oh I'm sure they have a good reason, but is that reason good for the customers?

"We want to delay giving Chevy and the Camaro crew a benchmark as long as possible" and "We laid an egg, the car didn't lose any weight and didn't gain any significant power. It's just as fast as the 11-14's and runs Boss 302 lap times" are both indeed good reasons for Ford not to release specs. But both reasons are not good for the customers.

I have no clue what the delay is all about. But I can't imagine its good.

Also keep in mind that David Principato, Ford's Marketing Director, said on April 17th to expect S550 specs to be released in 3-4 weeks. So around May 17th... That's 2 months ago... Don't be surprised if we're in the middle of August (making Ford 3 months late) and specs still aren't released.
