Before my 2017 s550 I had a bmw 335xi twin turbo . Making about 300hp awd . I went full bolt on and made maybe 380hp . I must say , for some reason the car felt fast
I honestly have to say it's on par with the stock coyote I think
Low end torque and awd. I've driven an N54 335xi making 460awhp and it was a rocket.

Never been in a supercharged S550...but going from stock Termi 400hp to KB Termi 750hp, it was from "wow that pulls hard" to "holy shit what is that?!"
I think I used the exact same expression, well the holy shit part, anyway, in another thread by the OP to explain pretty much the same thing when I put a Whipple 2.3 on ny Terminator. The current SC'd S500 has similar throttle response.

The N54 car I drove FELT faster because it had torque down low.

I'm positive the S550 would demolish it in a straight line though.

The S550 does a crazy job of hiding how much power these cars have. They don't feel brutally quick even though they are just due to how the chassis handles and how the motor delivers the power.

It depends on whether you upgrade the tires or not and whether you are on a prepped surface or not.

Drive your existing car and see what it feels like right before the tires start spinning in first gear. With a blower you can achieve close to that feeling of acceleration at higher speeds and in higher gears.

If you don't upgrade the tires or pick your spots you won't get additional acceleration, you will just spin the tires.

So on track you definitely gain something. On the street you might only gain tickets.

It felt faster than a stock S550? Or a supercharged S550?

@Hack is dead on. It just increases the speed at which you can spin tires. It’s actually kinda frustrating. In ambient less than about 75 you can’t floor it at any legal speed without complete loss of traction, and that’s with PS4S tires.

Peak acceleration on the G meter has not changed since I put the blower on because it’s traction limited; stock in 1st gear, now in the first 5 gears.

>~600 whp + 3.73s + MT DR's = you can't really move from the back of the seat until the shift

The disappointing thing is that you cannot regularly drive with a good performance summer tire, as it will light 'em up in any gear below 4th. You more or less have to use drag radials to enjoy all the power.

It’s ok. A little quicker than stock.

I've never been in a supercharged car before. The most power ive have driven is my current 2017 Mustang with 435 HP. How much faster does the car feel when supercharged over stock?
It’s fun, but you get used to it.

SIGNIFICANTLY faster. Car pulls like a jet in the upper RPM range(I have a centrifugal blower).

I'd be bored to tears with a naturally aspirated model.

Funny you say this, but very true.

I remember when I got mine installed, it was like "holy shit" all over again, now that I've had it a season, sometimes I wonder "has this thing lost power?" But it's just me being used to it. Same thing happened when I went from a Kawasaki 500 twin to an R6... and now if I were to buy another bike, it would be an R1 because I was "a little bored" with the R6.

You DO get used to it.

The aftermarket companies are counting on it:)

I also have a BMW 335xi with mods and I agree. It's smaller car, so that helps, too.

So I guess what my question is, is supercharging going to feel like it's worth all of the extra money if I do it? How much faster could it possibly feel to the 335xi twin turbo with bolt in making 380hp awd ? To me I don't think it would be worth it unless the car was significantly faster than that
