I thought I would update everyone on the MMD hood struts.

Today I removed. I liked the way that they were smaller and easier to work around than the Redline Tuning ones but the drawback was that the hood bowed up just slightly on the left side and more noticably on the right.

I got them throuh American Muscle and they say the pics and will take them back and give me a credit towards Redlines.

Here is with the MMD's
just installed mine and they do the same thing

There really is no comparison!

I have to agree. I got the AM MMD ones and they bowed my hood up not to mention looked like crap. AM was good they returned them and sent me the redlines. Night and day. they look factory and work much better. I like how they lose pressure at the bottom so the hood will close easily. I did not like the idea of drilling the Battery cover (yeah its easy but well I didnt like the idea of the non factory look) but it was real easy and does not look bad at all.

Redlines were the first mod I did when I got the car home. If you even look under your hood on a regular basis, you owe it to yourself to have hood struts.

Not sure either, it looks like a direct copy of the Redline struts, which has 4 yrs warranty on the Plus and 5 yrs on the Elite. Steeda makes great stuff but for the struts I'm going with the Redline Quicklift Plus.

Stick with a company that has confidence in their product! We have been producing our Hood QuickLIFT systems for over 14 years and stand behind them! Plus ours is 25% less expensive!

We stand behind our products 100% & the warranty is stated in the above - 1 year.

Steeda Autosports has been in business for over 28 years - we have a great track record of success when it comes to supporting the aftermarket!

You have several choices out there - providing some additional options if you want to package the hood struts with a CAI, Suspension Upgrades, Etc.

Best Regards,

TJ
