That's pretty good camera trickery... I have seen this technique used before.
That is California Street facing eastbound, and the intersection of Hyde Street at the bottom of the photo.
Here is the Google street view of the intersection facing the same direction:

Would not the street view from the camera that's mounted on top of the car that's sitting on the inclined street give the sense of more trickery? Cuz, ya know, it's parallel with the bit of street it's on making everything look flatter?

Yes, of course. They use a funky wide lens too.

For someone to claim the streets are not steep in San Fran is just silly.
