Hey all,

I just got my ecoboost and was wondering if anyone else found the feeling of the hill assist odd. I know you can turn it off... and im not saying I don't like it but its just odd. I feel the brakes engaged and then it feels like you almost have to give extra gas to get them to disengage.

What do you guys think...

PS this car is freaking awesome!

I love it.... after driving manuals for the past couple decades it was a welcome addition.

I'm keeping it on :).

there is definitely a delay and you have to give it gas, but it works great. I really like it when I'm facing down hill in a parking spot. prevents you from rolling into the curb prior to backing up. You don't have be as quick on the pedals or use the parking break.

Right, I think I just need to get a better feel for it. I like not having to anticipate any roll back

I'm not a fan of it. Maybe I'm not using it properly but it jerks when I get moving from a hill. Plus my area isn't very 'hilly' so I don't need it. Only place I would turn it on is SF.

I work in SF, it is an awesome feature. However I still opted to just get an auto.

I don't blame you. If I did a lot of driving in SF I think manual would get old very quickly. Luckily Florida is as flat as a sheet of paper so manual isn't an issue.
