Honestly the base suspension is probably beyond most drivers ability...with the all season tires. If it's a daily driver why pay for something you would never use, especially when you need to drive it in the snow?
Good enough reason for me too, get the PP.
The PP tires will wear faster than the non-pp tires because of the softer compound along with the fact that you can't rotate them. I would recommend swapping them out when you need new ones to some Pilot Super Sports though for a bit better tire, a little more tread life, as well as a few dollars less than the pirelli on tirerack.
I mean if you don't plan to track it or do courses, etc, there is no need for the PP IMO. Like Tim said you are paying for something you most likely would never use. You could save the money and do things after market that would probably be better used. I think the base would be fine for your needs, even having a little fun (I mean you're getting the GT, that is FUN in itself right there).
You can't rotate front to rear due to different tires size, but you can rotate on the same axle since this pirelli tires are not directional.
They're staggered...putting the narrows on the back would be silly but I guess imperceptible to someone that doesn't know the difference.
With non-directionals you can also spin the tire around on the rim (mount and dismount) to actually extend tread life further, that way the outside of the tire ends up on the inside etc. Very helpful on the front. That said for daily drivers a square set up is so much better for tire wear, rotate every oil change (assuming non-directional) you will be amazed at how much longer tires last. PP is staggered so your tire store will love you.
