My question was more of where can I do a datalog and unfortunately Houston doesn't provide many spots. I guess I can try and have them datalog when I go? I asked last time and they didn't. What specifically should I ask for, each run and which tune it was on?

You would use the sct x4 to data log. I am not familiar with the device, but usually you can select what parameters you want to log. I'd get in touch with Lund and see if the default sct x4 parameters are adequate or if you need to add some additional ones.

Then you (your tuner) just needs to plug the sct x4 into your odb2 port before they start the dyno run, then turn logging on once they are about to start the pull. Turn it off when the pull is finished. Rinse and repeat for each pull.

Thing is, if you are going to send the logs to Lund, you want to do the data logging with the Lund tune, not your custom tune.

This!!!

Livernois and Lund are the top tuners out there. Their performance proves this, over and over and over. Truly not even debatable.
Thank you for the S/O! Glad to see that you are still loving your tune!

Honestly, any kind of dyno tuning should mop the floor with a remote tune. Especially if it is just a normal canned tune. If you are locked into Lund, I would just give John a call and see what he can do for you. He is a great guy, and will help you with whatever you need.

If you STILL aren't happy with your results, we will gladly help you tune up your S550! There is nobody out there that is more experienced with the platform than we are.

Just dropped the car back off. He did say the Lund tune wouldn't hurt the car but he was simply recommending not to run it because there was much more to get out of it. Just wanted to correct that real quick. Eventually I'll do some 3rd party dyno's and compare them and some 1/4 mile runs. Should be interesting.

This still sounds fishy. How does he know this. If I were you, I'd have him (and be present yourself) dyno both his tune and the lund tune back to back and see what's up.

I agree but I want to take it even a step further and do it on a 3rd party dyno. I'd rather see it on a DynoJet instead of their Mustang dyno anyway.

I don't have anywhere close by that I can log them. I might have to just drive out somewhere one day. I would like to get the Lund dialed in at some point after the shop decides they have done everything they can and then get some final tests. Car will be ready this evening and I'll report back with what the shop says.

Alright, they said they made a minor adjustment to the throttle body (that I may or may not feel). Talked about how to get a better 60' since that's where I'm losing time. A couple things they said conflict with what I've read on here. They said drive through the water box and do a 5-6 second burnout, I thought you were supposed to drive around it on stock tires? Do the automatics have launch control because I can't seem to find it and he was talking about that like he used it? Just realized they didn't give me any new dynos. Said he got a 4.7 on the 0-60 app when it was in track mode on a dyno... not sure how that equates to what you get on the road.

I'll search the threads on here for more info on these but they recommended the NT55R tires as I need to drive to and from the track on the tires. Also Quoted me $1,080 on BBK long tube headers with X-pipe, $830 labor, $150 tune total of $2,150.

Will go to track on Friday and search through here finding various launch combinations to try as well as use the Lund tune. Hopefully I can get more than 2 runs done. Taken 3-4 hours each time to get 2 runs. Might go to the 1/8 mile track one day.

We typically prefer to use ARH, Kooks or SW LTH. Premium American made stainless that you won't have to worry about falling off of your car in a few seasons.

Livernois Motorsports - Kooks was what I was thinking before I asked them. Do you have tests on a Mustang dyno?

Todd15Fastback - I did dyno the Lund tune on a DynoJet and had 390 Hp, 375 TQ. Shame I didn't get one before that. But when I get a chance I can do that one with their tune so I can compare the 2 tunes. Working with Lund will be my next course of action next week, maybe their tune runs a 12.5 this weekend lol.
