Well that is odd. It might be worth asking lund for another file, perhaps the one you have is somehow corrupt.
That is exactly why we do not email tuning files. If whatever email client you use deems that for example tune file "abcd.123456" and characters "456" are not supposed to be there and drops those characters from the file you now have a corrupted file.

We actually provide you with a link to our secured tuning server. Once we build your tune files, you open the program, plug your tuner into your PC with the USB cable that comes with your tuner and click update tuner. The tuner searches our server for its serial number and downloads the corresponding files to the tuner. From there, you load your tunes!

all of lunds files are sent via link to their server as well.....

and of course we all know, if a file was running fine on a car, it didn't change,

loaded tunes that were running fine don't change...

Yes, it was sent via server I was just able to access it through email, sorry for that. Beefcake, there has to be something going on. I know you're saying if it worked before then there shouldn't be another wrong. The key word being shouldn't because there is something drastic going on and I can't tell you exactly what but stating tunes don't change doesn't really help even though your statement is correct. My plan is to delete and re-load it today and see what it feels like. I did only have a couple of days with it the 1st time when it felt fine so there theoretically could have been something wrong that just didn't come out right away but with the last tune that I had a problem with I could notice it ASAP so not sure about that one. I don't know if I got a straight answer on this but is it at all possible for a shop to even accidentally change anything that would cause the Lund tune to act differently? Other than that if the re-load doesn't help, who do I need to contact about this? I am unable to do data logs because the car physically will not drive correctly, that's how bad this problem is.

The one common factor in all your runs is the driver.

With regard to the current Lund issue and Dyno's there isn't. But to your specific point I'm willing to accept I'm not going to go out and beat everyones times but in an automatic my results are quite a bit off, not just on the lower side. Here's some times I've grabbed from here (with no exclusions) and unless I'm the worst person at pushing a petal to the ground (maybe I am) something is off. When people are consistently running 12.5 - 12.8 stock and I'm at 13.1 with CB, Intake, Tune I think that's cause for concern. There are a few slower times with similar mods but their MPH are higher.

1/4 Mile MPH 60' Mods Trans

Out of curiosity wouldn't the driver issue be in the 60' time? If someone has the same or worse 60' as me and then they are getting a 12.6 that should be more on the car, right?

That would be an indication that they are making more rwhp than you are giving them a higher mph.

Thanks.

If 2 cars make the exact same power on the dyno and all things being equal except the tunes are different would they run very similar 1/4 mile or could the different tunes (even with same HP & TQ) make a significant difference? The reason I'm asking is because someone said my dyno numbers could look fine but there could be something in the off in the tune that the dyno wouldn't catch.

Is that your car running all those times?

my car has a tune and CAI cut 2.062 60' 12.8@109 or 2.000 60' 13.1@111

You have peak numbers and numbers under the curve. 2 tunes could net the same peak HP and TQ but one could have more power and TQ under the curve. That would certainly influence times and MPH. At least I think it would. I am not an expert at all, so anyone please correct me if I am spewing wrong info:cheers:

Yes, that is totally possible. The 2 cars could run the exact time even if they do not make the same power numbers. It all depends on how the 2 cars are making power. One could make more top end power and run the stronger car down.

Your tunes could look the fine on the dyno, but because on the dyno for the most part you are primarily in one gear you might not notice a problem. Usually, if there is something off in a tune there are gaps in a line, sharp peaks and/or loop looking points on the graph.

Thanks for the info on the tune. Didn't get a chance to re-try the Lund so I'll do that tonight see if it will work or if I need a new one.

Deleted the Lund from device. Re-loaded Lund to device. Ran stock tune. Ran Lund and this pops up, what's it mean?

Drove around and it was better than before but anytime I let off the gas about 2-3 seconds later it gave a kick. Not as violent as before but still not right.
