Ugh…my GS-1’s clunk when I change directions. It. Drives. Me. Bonkers. The pads are amazing and do everything I want them to, but when I’m at parking lot speeds, they clunk into position during that first pedal touch when changing directions. For example….
backing out of the driveway and touch the pedal; clunk. Subsequent pedal applications, no clunk. Start to drive forward and touch the pedal the first time; clunk. Subsequent pedal applications in that direction, no clunk.
It’s almost enough for me to want to swap out pads. And I’ve wondered since day one if it’s because GLocs don’t have any type of backing plate. And the backing material from the original pads won’t come off to swap over.
Other than that, the GS-1’s are exactly what I want. ZERO noise, darn near zero dust. Great braking.
Anyone else ever hear of this? Any ideas? I've bled the brakes multiple times to no avail. GLoc has sent me replacement pads which didn't change anything. Whatchu guys think?
