Yup, this is true and not just specific to Ford. Bottom line it comes down to the particular dealership and/or service departments. When I had my Focus, I took the car in with a FMIC, tune (Cobb AP on the dash) and exhaust. I was asking to get the rear motor mount replaced via TSB and an update to the IPC. Both done, no questions asked other than "How does it run with the tune". Your typical car guy shooting the shit. On the other hand I had a SRT-4 with an AEM intake back in the day. Took it in because the thermostat went bad. Service guys gave me the riot act and informed me they would let it slide this time, but next time anything related to the engine would not be covered.Well... Ford just refused to warranty a bad window seal on my car because I have a sticker on a totally different window. The law may say they gotta prove this and that, but in reality... unless you fight like crazy half the time... you will give up warranty to some degree, mostly dependent on the dealership's tolerance for aftermarket work (which is usually nill). Dealerships often hold "good service" for those who bought the car from them - I see this myself and see evidence of this among family/friends all the time. Gotta stop.
Yes, that side is fixed, the adjustment is on the other side.i'm going to get under the car today and check it out before I put full faith in the dealer diagnosing it correctly.
I can drop the side of the toe link that connects to the knuckle without changing alignment, right?
