Getting A Little Nervous Driving This Thing

My Mustang is a third car, and I still worry about it. It is funny, because being a used car, it had a few paint blemishes, etc., but I am always concerned about it, and worry about hail out here in CO. My wife says "it's just a car" and I get that, but damn it looks so good I don't want anything to happen to it. This, and the fact that I seem to have a perfectly built example (MT-82 shifts buttery smooth, no tick, no clutch issues, no evap issues, etc.) I wouldn't want to have to get another.

I don't know WTF is going on with me, emotions are not normally a thing for me.

But this car is so nice, I'm starting to be concerned about driving it. The damn drivers in D.C. are so terrible, I'm worried about being rear-ended by one.

I even just called my insurance agent and upped my coverage on the damn car.

My work drive into D.C. is 5 days a week, so that's my exposure. But I do get to wash my car at work, so there's that. I'm getting PPF and looking into a Quartz sealant for the wheels.

Sometimes my Mother, who lives on the other side of D.C. from my work, invites me over for dinner. That's a hard pass. We can met in Virginia for breakfast once a week. No way in hell I'm driving all the way across D.C. in that traffic.

I was rear ended lightly. now its all i think about. whens the next one coming? :(

It takes a month or so for the rear view mirror constant checking after a rear ending to ease up. People and their damn phones need to just drive.

I was rear ended by a vehicle going a estimated 45 mph while stopped a traffic signal. No brakes just rammed the crap out of me. Driver on cell phone. Those young ladies should be thanking whoever designed airbags. I'm still feeling pains even tho I was in my large commercial vehicle.

I got a huge rock chip on my 2nd day of ownership with 75 miles on the car so I no longer give a shite lol
