I don't know WTF is going on with me, emotions are not normally a thing for me.

But this car is so nice, I'm starting to be concerned about driving it. The damn drivers in D.C. are so terrible, I'm worried about being rear-ended by one.

I even just called my insurance agent and upped my coverage on the damn car.

Get a little Honda to drive around every day.

I live 20 minutes from DC and have my whole life... I can tell you right now, with 100% certainty, if I actually lived IN D.C. - I'd sell the Mustang. Straight up, gone. I love this car and am attached to it, but it is just horrible to drive in downtown streets of DC. And the drivers are clueless and pedestrians walk right out in front of your car, especially when it is impossible to see them. Those roads in DC are just absolute shit. Even when my base GT was stock it is not a fun time.

Edit: I see you have Magneride. I am sure that helps immensely. Props to ya man. Just keep your head on a swivel for those dumb drivers and pedestrians.

I hear you. I drove mine on the beltway to a meeting in Rockville and nearly got rear ended by some jackhole what was probably head down in his phone. He shot past me on the median 2 car lengths to avoid the wreck. Scared the piss out of me. Now I refuse to take the Stang on the beltway ever again and reserve that duty for my F-150.

Have to admit 20 years ago with a primered grey dented 5.0 foxbody life was good. All I can suggest is give up and drive as offensively as you can. Half kidding of course.

I know how you feel. I scream like a school girl if I have to hit a water puddle. There's no way I'd DD a nice car in the DC area. If you have no choice, protect yourself AND get a good dash cam.

I got rid of my 2014 due to a tap in the rear. I really loved that car but I couldn't get over the fact that it had been wrecked. NoVA you should get a beater or move to another
area because there's idiots waiting in line to run into you.

This is why I have my 18' Accord Touring 2.0T. A fast, comfortable, feature loaded boat.

The drivers down here in Myrtle Beach are pretty bad as well. In season, which thank G-D just ended, we have the tourists who are totally clueless. Many of the locals are just as bad. Never use a signal, turn into your lane without looking, etc. So what do I do? I go out and drive my car, carefully. Why should I not enjoy what I've waited all my adult life for? I'm not letting other people or situations dictate my happiness. If/when my car gets hit, I'll deal with it then. I'm not worrying about it now. Neither should you. Just get out, drive, and enjoy it.

Or move :cwl::crackup::cwl::crackup:
