So before ordering I had been kicking around saddle and redline interiors, in the end I went with redline. I was happy with my choice until I seen an previous gen mustang with the redline interior, and it looked horrible!! Does anybody know if this redline is the exact same as the previous generation?? I made my decision based purely on pictures; maybe some more insight from someone that has seen it in person.

I prefer redline because the door inserts really make the car look nice. It is true however that I have not seen previous red interiors from Ford.

What did you find horrible about the one you saw? Too bright? I suspect today's redline won't be quite as bright as those in the past, simply because the times and trends have changed a bit. Can't speak to quality though. Hopefully the S550 leather is good enough to last for many years.

Well it seemed really bright, I walked by the car at least 5 times lol. I think what else hurt my opinion was that the seats were in bad condition. I really hope that the new redline color is darker than before. It bothers me to think I am spending all this money and my not love the seat color.

It has been stated that it's nothing like before. You can see from the pictures it is not that bright.

So to answer your question, No i'm not worried about it because it's not very bright.

Over the last few years I've become a huge fan of red interiors. Im just like you OP and Im on the line with Fords implementation of a red interior. I have two concerns and those are the color of red that is applied and the extent that it is applied.

My first issue is that ford chose to use a "fatter" paint brush than I typically like. The inserts are red, the top of the seats are red and the bottoms black. In my personal opinion it lacks any sort of blending that usually goes with a red interior. If you are going to use bold strokes of colors then blend the lines with red stitching and other smaller colored pieces that pull it together. The current implementation looks like someone pulled up MS paint and colored a few pieces red and then went on coffee break.

The second is that if you are going to use a "fat" paint brush the color better be spot on (perfect color of red). The pictures I've seen show a very poor color of red for the implementation in my personal opinion. If you are going to have a huge implementation of red colored blocks in the car the red needs to be almost coral and not bright red. Huge blocks of bright red make the car almost unlivable.

The people that have seen this car in person have been amazed by the redline interior. I have high hopes for redline and I REALLY want to order it. I want and will be happy to eat my words if the finished product is as beautiful as the first person reports are.

Could always wait until you see the interior in person to decide?
