What do you guys do for front splitter scuffs? Haven’t had any yet but curious what works best other than not to get any.

I have scraped a ton by now (8K miles) and its very minimal wear on the bottom. You have to look directly under to see it. I have learned to scrape less, but even in steeper driveways I like how much flex the splitter gives you, it bends nicely.

If you're referring to the edging of the splitter, you can get a sand block and with emery paper; lightly sand the edge on an angle horizontally and it will remove any burrs.

+1, yep it scrapes off pretty easy on the edges

@Joker721 if you ever severely damage/break it beyond repair, you can get a matte black knock-off replacement here for $150: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBKRCX3Q/?coliid=I15QBJPWY7ZZ3B

That's what I'm going to buy if I ever decide to add the Handling Package lip to my M1. Not sure if that'll ever happen though. Lots of speed bumps and irregular terrain/driveways around here that would eat that splitter for lunch. Pretty much the same reason my car will remain at stock height and never get lowering springs.

EDIT: Sorry, I just noticed you don't have the handling package splitter. Oh well, hold onto the link anyway in case you want to add it down the road!

Splitters are a consumable. The lowest part of your car is going to take some damage and need replacing over time. This is why most DIY club racers make theirs out of plywood because they get destroyed so frequently and they're easy to replicate.

The shopping cart was stuck in the tree island so it wasn’t going anywhere. The shopping cart proximity sensors did their job😎

I don’t think you can scrape it enough to hurt it. I’m pretty careful I still scrape it. Usually it’s the pan underneath that you’re scraping and not the splitter but worst case you can always get another one. You learn pretty quickly to take those big dips at an angle. I had to pull mine off to install the long tube headers and reinstalled it pretty easily with plastic rivets from harbor freight.
