Greetings,

I have a stock 2022 Mustang GT Premium without the PP1 Performance Package. I was thinking of keeping it all Ford and upgrading my suspension with the
Ford Performance Track & Street Pack. Have any of you installed this on your Mustangs? If so, do you like what this suspension pack has done for the handling of your Mustang? Your feedback is appreciated.

Thanks, Edgemere

I’ve been eyeing the Track kit myself. As I understand it, the Street kit is basically what is used in the PP1 cars and is a little softer than the Track kit.

I don't have the full kit, just the street springs and they feel pretty stiff, I'm prettu confident in turns. Then again I've never experienced anything else either so lol

Hey this is Junior from N4SM, my dad has the full ford performance suspension on his 2018 GT PP1.
Springs, shocks, swaybars ect. I can say it feels great, the car handles amazing in the canyons. With that being the said the ride of the car is noticeably firmer but not harsh in anyway. That is what is expected with handling springs. You won't be disappointed, great kit they offer.

I have the track pack on my 2016 GT which I installed immediately after picking up the car in 2020. I made some other suspension and chassis's modifications to eradicate rear wheel hop, bump steer i(ntroduced with the lowering) and stiffen the chassis. Some would consider the ride a bit hard but I’m not bothered by that given the joy from how well it takes turns and keeps the drive wheels on the pavement.

Having said that, if I had to do it again I would have gone with a high-end coil-over system for the flexibility of damping configuration.

The street pack doesn't seem worth it, springs are very marginally stiffer, sway bars have a goofy glued bushing to aid in stiffness. If you're gonna do it just go all out and get the track pack. I'm waiting to install mine, got the PP control arms too with the spherical bearing and wind deflectors to supposedly cool brakes. These cars are boats stock anyways.. unless the roads around you are really bad.

Haven't installed it but I'd first ask you what are your goals with your car? Is it looking good/car meets only, spirited backroad/daily driver, track rat/autoX car that you can drive to and from those locations?

Personally I was planning to nab the shocks and struts (which are really just rebadged from the base gt350 w/o mag ride from my understanding) and going with custom springs to start. With suspension you might find it cheaper/more cost effective to go bit by bit and only change the bare minimum.

I love my Ford Performance Track Hadling Pack! (see here)

The stance is great, she handles great on the track, and my wife hasn’t complained about the extra firmness šŸ‘

It’s a great, well thought out package where all the pieces work great together. Highly recommend.

The Ford Performance Track Kit should be the OEM suspension from Ford to begin with. What's nice is it doesn't lower it excessively. Ford advertises a 1" drop, for me it was .875" front and .75" rear. Giving the car a little rake which I love. Keep in mind the Street kit is basically the Performance Package with lowering springs. Go for the Track Kit, even with the PP, the PP dampers are way to soft even for the street. The Track Kit is a different animal. My car

Thanks all for your feedback. My car will be used on the streets only, and the winding roads in Northern, Minnesota. No track or drag use whatsoever.

Mine doesn't see the track, I would still get the Track Kit. To be frank the OEM PP is not very performance oriented. The car feels firm when just tooling around, but once pushed even when canyon carving it shows how lackluster it really is.
