The current GForce Renegade axles are exactly the same as the Ford Performance axles. Only difference is labeling. Just a FYI for those looking to save a few bucks.

I am currently looking at the Ford Performance half shafts on the Ford Performance site. I see 2 different listings. One for M-4130-M ($999) and one for M-4130-MA ($2075). They also sell each of the MA versions left and right separately for $1090. Does anyone know the difference between the M-4130-M and M-4130-MA? They both say made by G-Force Engineering. The former says its only for 15 and 16 MY GT, V6, and I4 and not GT350 where as the latter says all mustangs.

Why not call GForce themselves and ask them about the differences that are the concern - instead of going round and round on here...

GForce manufactures the axle for Ford. So whether it s a GForce part with a Ford part # slapped on it OR you're buying GForce axles directly from THEM - they would be the source to contact and would have the exact answer.

I ordered the $999 half shafts from the Ford Performance link I posted. They are indeed GForce Engineering parts labeled as "Ford Racing" and not "Ford Performance". The part numbers are the same as the more expensive versions just without the "A" at the end. Cheapest GForce half shafts I have found by far.

I emailed Ford performance and this was the reply I received today. Wish I would have gotten it sooner as I’ve already ordered shafts last week

The only difference between the M and MA, is that the MA received some changes a few years ago to accommodate the redesigned rear knuckle assembly on 2018+ cars. If the car is a 2015-2017, either the M or MA will work. If the car is a 2018+ ONLY the MA will work.

Thanks for that. Guess they won’t work for me then.

No they aren’t. Close but not the same. The renegades are 32 spline the Ford performance ones are 34. The renegades are more money too. Technically the Ford performance ones have the slight edge. I’ve confirmed this right up to Lethal customer service.

OP...just a word of advice; call G-Force and give them the manufacture date and ask them if they had changed their thread locker before or after that date of manufature. If they were using the old formulation keep an eye on the bolts because it won't be long before they back out. Ask me how I know...

My advice, if they were using the old formula, is to save yourself a lot of heartache and send them in now before you install them and have to pull them back out. Or, remove the bolts and use a high temp red loctite and re-torque the fasteners before installing the axles.

First of all the renegades are the low end 800hp rated Gforce half shafts. The outlaws are the 1500hp rates Gforce half shafts. With that being said the Ford performance are also 1500hp rated like the “outlaws” not the renegades like you had said. And the Ford performance are 34 spline where as the outlaws are 32 spline. So yes they are very similar to what Gforce sells in regards to their highest end half shafts but are still stronger made than anything Gforce sells and branded with their own name. On gforce’s website they sell the Ford performance halfshafts for $2400 the outlaws are $1999 and the renegades are like $1199.

I wouldn't take a "HP" rating as something to even go by. If they were going to rate them, they should use tensile strength, or axle torque rating. Nobody here is breaking a Gforce Renegade as well. Outlaws would be the choice for a 7 second rig.

Incorrect. Gforce discontinued those 850hp rated axles in 2019. See the press release here:

https://gforce1320.com/gforce-releases-all-new-line-up-with-the-renegade-axles/

The new Renegades are basically the old Outlaw axles as the Outlaws were given an upgrade as well.

Nobody here is breaking a Gforce Renegade as well.
Correct! :like: Plenty strong for 99% of the setups.
