You don't need spacers with those +35 offset wheels. He's talking about with PP rear wheels in front.
Thank you! So it is beneficial to run this square set up. Plus i can rotate the tires get more life.

Carid.com will let me do it if i select 4 rear wheels/tires.

I run 19x9.5 with effective +27.5mm (25mm spacers) squared rear PP1 wheels all around with 275/40/19.

Camber is within factory spec, lowered.

The fronts rub fender liner on bumps that cause the suspension to compress enough.

May get a better price if you go through a vendor here. And they can definitely answer your fitment questions

Looks like track pack from the thumbnail

Yeah with +35 you don’t need spacers. It just depends on the wheel design and if it clears brakes at that point.

Gt350 track pack style wing in carbon.
Old owner put it on there so I’m not sure the exact brand of it.

Yes. I run 275/40 all around on 19x9.5 +33 and the fit is fine.

I’m looking at this same setup, but learning now maybe 275/35 is not enough sidewall… how are the 275 in the back for traction? You ever wish you would’ve went with a wheel that properly fits more rubber? Or anything else in hindsight you would’ve done different?

And the car looks nice btw

Running 275/40-19 squared here, on two sets of wheels.
  • One reason for running 40 sidewall is that the front wheel gap appears equal to that in the rear. (And I don't like a lowered car to futz with fender gaps.)
  • Another reason to run 40 is because the speedo is calibrated for that particular tire diameter.

I now run a 3rd set of wheels that are 255/40 square (PP front wheel spec), and so I reprogrammed the wheel diameter to make the speedo accurate again. The 275/40 wheels are track tires, so I don't worry about the few odometer miles that are wrong due to the track miles.

IMO, you can run as wide as 10" front wheel and wider tires up front and just clear the strut and be flush with the fender. Anything wider and you will poke up front. If you want a square setup then you are limited to 10" in the rear, too.

35-40 offset is the range that makes the rear tires flush. You will need spacers in front to make the same wheel fit with clearance. Extended studs and open-end lugnuts allow you to play with slip-on spacers and still be safe for lug threads.

I recommend just 1/4" clearance to the strut as sufficient. You can check this yourself when playing with spacers.

Enough sidewall for looks… I still need to compare with 285/35 and 275/40, all on 9.5. So far 275/35 doesn’t look bad but I want to look at all the options. Knowing it did well on track helps, thanks.
Also thanks to GTP that’s some good info šŸ‘

Thanks. I am now running 285/35 on 19x10 wheels, but I didn't have traction issues with 275/40 summer performance tires.

There’s not a huge difference in width between a 285 and 275 tire that you’d notice as far as traction goes. A good summer tire in either size will be fine (I run 285 on mine). 285/35 is a smaller diameter than the 275/40 so it won’t fill out the wheel well as as the 275/40. 285 will fit a 9.5 wide wheel fine but it’s better suited for a 10ā€ IMO. 275 is ideal for 9.5ā€ wide.

You're not running any spacers on here right?
No. The wheel offset of +33 was a good fit without them. That's an old pic, lol. I now run 19x10 +37 with 285/35 all around.

Ok cool, thanks. I’m thinking of running square 19x9.5 +30 with 275/30s (maybe 35). Trying to figure out if that’ll be good for both looks and functionality. I can also do +22 and +15 if necessary. I’m on coils and want to have a nice track fitment without rubbing.
