275/40-19 vs. 275/35-19

Just wanted to see how people with 275/35-19 tires feel about the ride and handling for a daily driver. Also for those that chose the 40 profile, why they did over the 35. Trying to decide if I am going to go with the 35 or 40 profile on my MRR 350 wheels.

IMO the 275/40/19 is too tall for your EB PP. It is better for the GT PP which has the 3.73 gears. So of the two I would go 275/35/19 however since the M350 is 10" wide I think the 285/35/19 is the best choice.

I went 275/40r19 because I wanted a square setup and did not want to lose sidewall since I had a pp gt. I didn't think the larger sidewall would have any inpact up front, and it hasn't had any negatives.

40 is a lot of sidewall. If we were talking drag radials. I'd say 40 is good. For the street I'd do a 35 series tires.

The difference in acceleration between what he has now and 275/40R19 is negligible with the exception of the speedo being slightly off (3%) on the highway. 275/35R19 is 2% off as well, just the other way. The 35 aspect ratio tire would also make your car have more tire to wheel well gap, if that matters to you.

With offset of +40, you might need a 5 mm spacer.

They do, but it's snug at +40 offset (only a few mm between rim and strut).

285/35/19 works easily without issues.

A 285/35-19 is a little to wide for the stock 9" wide rim, with the 275/40 or 35 the stock 9" wide rim fine.
