2019 GT, non-PP. With the addition of Steeda Progessive Sport Springs, will there still be a pretty decent size gap with 275/35/19? Will it have less of a gap than a stock performance pack 2?

It will have more gap, because the tire sidewall will be smaller on the 275/35/19, than on the 275/40/19

I hate the tall sidewall look of a 275/40/19, so I'm gonna go with a 19 x 10 square setup where a 285/35 will be much better.

Yeah. That will split the difference so to speak. You should be happy. Should look good with your drop imo.

I like the bigger sidewall to a point. I feel like the 275 40 is just right. And the 255 40 in the front looks just a bit off to me.

With 19x10, I went with 265/40R19. I have a very slight stretch that is the same as what many other German cars have in order to get more handling performance. Also, the slight stretch allows for a future Steeda Spring install that will prevent any concerns of rubbing, and gives it a very nice profile.

Use this calculator to determine the actual height difference of the tires in question.

https://www.tire-size-calculator.info/

Now, a PP2 has 305/30R19. Their diameter is 26.2 inches.

The tire you are looking at is 275/35R19. Its diameter is 26.6 inches.

A stock mustang on 19" x 9" rims has 255/40R19 I think. Its diameter, from the calculator, is 27"
Some offer staggered setups on PP1 which have 275/40R19, I think. this tire is 27.7" in diameter.

If your lowering springs match up to a PP2, I know the PP2 is a 1/2 inch lower than a stock GT. The issue I have is that the tires alone seem to make that happen without the springs so I am not sure if the gap is tire only or spring also related.

In your case, you will have less room room for the tire from the lowering springs. Since you are a non-PP car, I suspect you have 255/40R19 on it which are 27" in diameter. If you are using the 275/35R19 and your springs lowered he car by 1/2", you will result in the same gap. My only question to you is how much room do the wheel wells have now that it is lowered. You might want a taller tire but you might not fit it without rubbing.

One way to figure that out or at least help a bit is to turn the wheel and measure with a 'L' shaped T-square across the existing tire. Measure how much gap you have and how much room you have to fit things while the tires are on the ground. I know, not easy but helpful. From what I read, the PP2 might have different components than you.

In the end, look at the threads on mustangs that have photos matching your desired gap and follow what they did. message the owner and verify fitment as well.

305/30R19 look short (more wheel gap). 285/35R19 on a 10” wheel is a solid chooce.

275/35R19 is fine if you're lowered and does not look 4x4 at all. Both my sets of wheels (DD and track) have this size tire. The front of my car is lowered less than 0.7".
