First start up after mods, and Wengerd tune for E85-16lbs boost and IW 10% OD Damper, 3.500 griptec Pulley, Borla 3" "S" Type full exhaust with Carbon fiber 4"Tips, and LTH "Catless" header connection pipe, Vibrant aft oxygen sensor, 90° adjustable Defoulers, Steeda Driveshaft Safety Loop, (Note, Steeda safety loop brace will have to be trimmed to accomidate the 90° defoulers, I installed FI Interchiller 10mm thermal intake heat spacers as well as their underside thermal heat blanket on my Whipple. But; with my whipple being raised, I had to trim my PP1 upper cowel brace plus I had to raise my whipple air box up 10mm to properly fit the air box rubber inlet tube to TB. Car started up fast, the Idle was absolutely as smooth as stock. After i do my initial start up data logs for Wengerd to look at and make minor adjustments I plan to have towed to a Duno shop to do live running with Wengerd to not only to tune for the 16lbs but; to tune my smoothboost electronic whipple bypass controller for max boost and minimum boost setting. Then, when my rotator cuff major surgery I just had today heals enough, I will take to drag strip and make a few runs.

Congrats, sounds like a great setup. I run the Smoothboost on my Camaro and love it. I’ll never run another blower without it.

My car started and idled absolutely smooth and It has never done that before on the Whipple bypass. If it works like I think it will, I will be able to do WOT runs with TC OFF at minimum setting without having to worry about curbs or ditched. Then I would be able to turn it up a little at a time to find that "Safe" WOT sweet spot for driving on the street.

Curious about the smoothboost, how is that wired? Is there a plug and play kit for our cars or are you splicing into a harness?

Yes but you will have to wire in a few wite. It has a controll box which will be placed some where under/behind dash. It has one connector which plugs inline on your gas pedal connector. Then when you install the electronic bypass valve (do it with blower lid removed) so you can adjust the valve exactly as needed. Then I routed the valve harness around and through te drivers side, top rubber grommet (had to carefully make a 1" slit in grommet) I then routed harness wires under drivers side to my leaf Dash, and I am using a True Fiber CF dual gauge A Pillar panel. Then connect the rheostat and then mound on dash for me to adjust boost level on the Fly. The reason I removed the blower lid was so when I tested the smoothboost to verify its linier movement in coronlation to the gas pedal movement/pysical position.

Looking at getting the smoothboost and pairing it with the Kai-yote boost ramp module once I get my fuel system installed. Would be awesome to be able to have a boost ramp for the street

Can you explain how a Kai-yote works with a smoothboost controller with adjustable rheostat on a whipple 3.0?

@DougS550 does the smooth boost controller allow different ramps? I wouldn't want a pd blower to feel like a centri except in all of the worst conditions I would actually drive my car in.
