E85 tune? Seems too quick with the bogged start.

I wonder if there's something in the tune causing that bog from the factory that the tuners haven't identified as of yet. I can't believe all these guys are that bad of drivers or the car is really bogging like that at the track. I haven't really slammed any hard launches on mine but I'm going to go and practice although I don't really care about the 1/4 that much.

There's so many nannies on this car I really am starting to believe some of these bogs may be cpu related. Might be wrong but wonder what the tuners are seeing...

The 350 is sure lacking in MPH at the strip, thankfully its a handling car.

My 14 GT auto with a $50 tune and cat delete went 12.3@117 2.0 60'

The owner's supplement guide mentions a torque limiting feature to protect the clutch/driveline. I've experienced it using launch control before. Pretty sure that's where the bog comes from.

It's got a relatively low inertia engine, transmission, and clutch, a tall first gear, and low torque below 3500 RPM. Going to be tough to launch without bogging unless you really want to slip the clutch.

I think it's just the nature of how the car is setup.

So these things mAke 100 more hp than the regular s550 and they are going about 114-115 in the 1/4 all stock. I'm not impressed yet with the trap speed of the gt350

People say the same thing about the GT3 compared to the 911 Turbo...the GT3 spanks the turbo on the race track, but off the line is different. That is it's purpose - they are designed with a different task in mind.

What? All magazines have the GT350 trapping 118-119.

I agree. I have as well but I have t tried to really just go out and practice launching the car

Agreed, but the other cars out there that are similar in set up and don't see as bog unless they have a similar nanny in place.

I'm curious if the tuners here have looked for anything in the fuel tables or elsewhere that can be programmed to identify if it is all computer related. I see Derek at Lethal liked your comment so I'm curious to hear.

One last thing. I think I read somewhere that slipping the clutch actually engages the torque limiter more so. In other words thinking that slipping the clutch is going to help you actually ends up hurting you in this case.

Good grief... Stupid argument again. You won't make a drag car out of a roadcourse genius. It's not in the DNA of this car.

Is it impressive it lifted the front tires on stock tires?... Damn straight it is, but does that define the purpose of this car?... Hell no.

Is this a reply to me? If it is you need to take a chill pill, if it isn't still consider a pill to chill. Just friendly discussion going on here.

I'm certainly not arguing or advocating any particular style of driving that anyone wants to do in this car...simply looking to understand the dynamics of the programming in the PCU.
