Hi everyone...

Wife and I are Mustang fans and for years now have had GTS, but never a Shelby. Never even been IN one for heaven's sake. We modded our 17 GT with a Steeda tune and Roush exhaust, etc, and were happy until our dealer mentioned he had a 2016 Shelby he might be able to get us into. Only 7900 miles on it ...It turned out to be this car:

Our impressions so far after less than a week with it are:

1 Good grief....

2 It feels like a giant hand is above the car pushing you down onto the road.

3 We are both shocked that after all the warnings that we are getting 17 mpg, same as our GT. not the 14 mpg we were fearing. OK, we aren't getting on it every minute, but still, impressed.

4 Test drove a Corvette for kicks six months ago, this feels extremely similar to me re handling.

5 Of course now we are paranoid about picking the right oil and there doesn't seem to be a consensus (but I'll ask for suggestions anyway!).

6 Any advice extremely welcome. And by the way, did the 2016 model come with the American Flag decals on it for some reason, or were they put on by the previous owner? Thanks much.

What a great car!

Congrats...you're going to love the car! Now...on to business...

1. Exactly!!!
2. See #1
3. Forget about getting good gas mileage...3 mpg difference isn't going to break the bank. Enjoy the power at WOT!
4. Had a C7 myself at one time and I humbly submit that the GT350 is in a whole different universe when it comes to handling...just my $.02 cents. You're gonna love it!
5. See post #2...what Robert said.
6. The awesome thing about this forum is there are a ton of great folks who will help you out or give good advice in a pinch. "Search" is your friend!

Cheers!

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Looks sweet. Couldn’t tell if it’s a track pack car or not. Mr. Joe in the vid says tech pack, but I see track pack spoiler. Although it does not have Recaros, so probably tech pack. That may have an affect on its ability to be tracked, but maybe not a concern for you.

Its a tech pack, so no Recaros and no coolers.
