So this was discussed way earlier in the thread but has anyone picked up an '18 F150 manifold yet?
I remember reading an article that explained the torque and horsepower jump from the revised intake manifold in the 2018 F150. I’ve yet to run across anyone who’s attempted to use the 2018 F150 manifold though.

Aye... Still kinda regret not getting those 16 (ct) manifolds awhile back. It's the potential for the need for pigtails and retuning to get them to work was the issue.

Any numbers on a ported f150 manifold? Seems like that might be the ideal street car setup.

Yes, that may be a very good way to go. Who would a guy like me turn to if I wanted my manifold ported?

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a ProCharger + torque booster set-up, and porting the manifold might be benneficial to FI, pre-manifold.

I always thought our manifolds were composite plastic and therefore couldn't be ported like the old metal ones could be where they'd force an abrasive putty through it over and over (seem to recall that was called extrude honing but not 100% sure).

Yep. I emailed a local shop and this was the response:

Hi Warren,

I believe that has a plastic intake manifold. There’s not to much you can do other than matching the ends & blending some casting marks.

^ In other words, save your $ as that little bit of matching & blending they mention will net you nearly zilch.

I have one that I'll be putting up for sale soon if anybody is interested. Brand new take-off that I purchased months ago and it's just been sitting in my garage. Like new condition other than one of the IMRC plugs in the back was broken while shipping. I ordered a TVS system today and I'll no longer be needing it.

I am going to take off my F-150 manifold and ship it off to AFS for porting. The $200 service fee is, IMO, reasonable.

I will probably do the same, it's not on the car yet anyways so might as well. @VooDooDaddy Did you call them? I'm not on Facebook and won't which is why I ask.

The porting is done with CNC machining on the plastic manifolds. Not sure what all is machined, but it's only worth a few HP. Not worth it to me unless your after every last HP.

Edit: I'm not discounting that it's an improvement, I'm simply stating it's not worth it to me. I'm saving my money for forced induction of some kind, so spending $100 here and there for a few HP at a time seems redundant.

As for the TB swap, Lund told me to keep my money, the swap only netted them 3HP in their experience. I asked about the BBK and the GT350. Apparently the stock TB is good enough.
